it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!
Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.
The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…
… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.
“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”
Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”
Tasty Treats
A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.
There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.
Haunted House
Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –
#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!
#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!
#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!
#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\
#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.
Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!
Dance Floor
If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.
Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !
Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!
Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/
Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?
Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!
Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

She paused, because in the version of the story she knows the answer is little girls but Allen isn't a little girl so he's not going to find that scary. "Men who do be having white hair."
She grinned. "You do never be knowing where the fox do be going to be being. It do be being silent and it could be being right behind you, now."
no subject
"So...a fox being a tricker means that it will trick you to get you to be alone right?"
no subject
"Exactly. It can be making sounds that do no be sounded like a fox at all, but a dog, or a cat or even a human baby. So people do be thinking there do be something hurt and then when they do be going to be looking, it do be jumping out at them and eating them!"
no subject
"Guess if that happens I'd be a goner."

Like any fight, but harder, probably.
no subject
"I will admit, you are good at telling scary stories."
no subject
"I do be thanking you."
no subject
"Could they be on the train?"
no subject
But stories had truth somewhere at their root and he looked worried. She leaned forward. "The fox could be being anywhere, it could be being on this train, on any of the worlds we do be going to. Once it do be picking its prey nothing do be being a barrier for it."
no subject
"But again, that was a good story, I could see how it could scare people at least."
no subject
Or he was a coward, but she's seen him on missions, he's not that bad.

Curses could cause bad luck, even bad enough to be eaten by a monster.
Maybe. Curses, like monster foxes were something she didn't have direct experience with.

She looked at him, was his mark on his face part of his curse? What was his curse? Who had cursed him?
She's not sure how to ask, he had mentioned it, so it clearly wasn't a secret, but it wasn't something people liked talking about.
no subject
A rather painful reminder at times however, but he was grateful that it never wakes him up in the middle of the night to look for Akuma since they never seem to exist in other worlds.
"The story of how I was cursed in its own way is scary to"
no subject
That was even more interesting than a regular curse and those were interesting enough!

"The Earl is someone who uses people's grief over loved ones passing away to create Akuma." He was making sure he didn't go into too much detail into how they are made exactly... because no one really needs to know that process.
"He offered to bring Mana back and of course me being a kid and having lost someone wanted nothing but to have them back. That... was a mistake. I had instead turned them into an Akuma who was under the control of the Earl. Mana was... rightfully upset about that and so he slashed at my eye and said he cursed me... He was then told to kill me because that's how Akuma work, they still need a body or host of sorts.
That of course didn't happen since I am still very much alive but that was because my innocence activated itself because they could and in the end... I had to kill him with my own hand. But...I saved the soul in the process because that's the scary thing. Akuma are souls that are trapped... they...cry out and have no way to escape and with each level their soul dissolves a little more. He paused for a moment. he hated seeing how badly the souls got.
"The other scary thing is... people would always agree to this. To force those that have passed to be forced into a situation they didn't want to be in. That's just the way people are."
no subject
That person was brought back as a twisted monster, which sounded right for a story about wishing someone back from the dead. The dead are dead, unless they lived on this train.
"You did no be being very smart when you did be being a kid." Ten isn't that young, she has been ten not long ago at all and even she had known that strange people offering to bring people you loved back from the dead was a sign you should run far far away from that person.
No wonder he had gotten cursed. She shook her head sadly. The rest of the story was indeed quite frightening. "Their souls do be being trapped? And they do be dissolving?"
She's never heard of a dissolving soul before, but if a soul dissolved it could never be reborn surely. Turning the dead into these Akuma... That was a terrible thing.
"How did you be saving his soul?"
no subject
"they do. That's what my curse shows me. The souls... they are always crying and asking to save them. They get so decayed that the first time I saw a level 4's soul and the way it was I was actually sick. It was just that awful and upsetting. They...don't want to be trapped, but don't have a choice." He wondered honestly how it was like at home without him being there really.
"For how. My left arm is innocence that is able to defeat the Akuma body and free the soul. It can rest after that"
no subject
Why have all these stories ended up asking questions that were stupid and she didn't want in her brain?
Because now Allen is talking about souls, souls crying and asking to save them. Souls that were trapped and decaying inside bodies that once were there's.
She's aware that some worlds do not have gods. She had not been aware at how horrific that might be.
"Innocence do be being a soul freeing thing?"
That was stored inside his left arm?
no subject
"But hey...I guess it means that horror story has a happish ending, which isn't what a horror story is about, right?"
no subject
So it probably counted. Maybe.
