it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!
Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.
The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…
… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.
“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”
Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”
Tasty Treats
A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.
There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.
Haunted House
Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –
#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!
#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!
#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!
#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\
#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.
Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!
Dance Floor
If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.
Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !
Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!
Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/
Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?
Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!
Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

"What do you mean, the village agreed? Were there so many people paying attention to your business?"
It's not something Alice can fanthom. London is huge, after all, and there are very little people who are bound to care about you. Unless you have a truly infamous reputation, like her.
no subject
He exhaled. He really shouldn't speak ill of people, he tried not to, it wasn't very becoming.
no subject
And that's coming from a girl who literally fell down a rabbit hole into the weirdest place possible.. And yet somehow the idea of an entire village being invested in a non-existent love affair is odd, even to her.
"I can't believe people cared so much about that. People don't even give most other people a second glance back in London, let alone care about their personal affairs." The only reason people knew her was just because her family had made headlines back during the incident, after all.
no subject
"I'm sure. In the city, no one would've batten an eye or thought twice about anything I did."
no subject
Sure, Natsuno doesn't look old enough to be living on his own by modern terms.
But Alice's time is a whole lot different. She doesn't even bat an eyelash at the idea of him just moving to the city on his own.
Also, yes, she's hardly even paying attention anymore to the haunted house around them. It's not nearly as interesting or important right now.
no subject
He sighed a little bit. "It's complicated, but you're not really an adult in my world until you're eighteen and I'm only sixteen."
no subject
"It's the same in mine." About when you become an adult. But then again, on the streets it means a whole lot less whether you're a child or an adult in the first place. "But where I'm from most parents either are dead, don't care, or don't have the ability to care."
Because they lack the money or time to take care of children in the first place.
"Children, much younger than you or me, disappear to other places all the time. I'm sorry that it wasn't as easy for you." Granted, living on the streets suck.
But Alice thinks living somewhere without freedom would be even worse.
no subject
"It would've been fine, eventually. It was mostly just annoying. Now that my mother is probably dead, and I'm dead and my father has completely gone mad, ultimately it ended rather poorly. It wasn't what I was expecting."
no subject
Alice has to think about that. It's not like she really knows any society beyond England's - and even then she's only ever been in big cities, not even the countryside. And she hardly knows anything about Asia as a whole other than that annoying Radcliffe's obsession with it..
It does put things in a different light though. And it's interesting to think about - interesting enough that Alice doesn't even seem to see one of the jumpscares popping out next to her. She just entirely ignores it as she walks on.
"Well, I would hope that wasn't what you were expecting out of your life." It's a bit of a dry remark that ends up coming out of her mouth first though, since it's the easiest thing to get out of the way first. "My family went through the same, though I am the mad one instead and my parents are dead."
no subject
He paused and then offered a quiet apology. "My condolences."
Natsuno had been raised to be respectful, but after that alone, he would move on. "I doubt that's what you were aiming for at the time, either."
no subject
There's no bite to it, since she recognizes that he's just using the same dryness as her to try and keep things from getting too heavy. Besides, him just giving her his condolences is already more than most people back home bothered to do, so Alice is more than satisfied with just that.
".. but sometimes that's just how things go. Although in my case it was just a human being who ruined it all." Rather than the supernatural creatures he was dealing with.
no subject
"The fact they got me first doesn't make me a good person."
no subject
Then she tilts her head, peering ahead of them into the darkness.
"Do you think it makes you a monster? Wanting to destroy those who threaten to kill you? Who want to ruin everything you care about?"
Her voice doesn't seem to indicate an answer. Mostly since it's something Alice has been thinking about as well. She knows she would be judged by others for her actions back home - but were they truly so bad if they were just to prevent harm from befalling others?
no subject
"Personally though, I wouldn't change my mind anyway. They killed my best friend, and that was only the beginning. If no one stopped them, then what?"
no subject
Mostly since.. well, Alice can't make herself believe that Natsuno is a true monster in any sense of the word. Sure, he isn't human, but he acts more the way a human ought than most people Alice has known in her life. No one back home treated her with anything even close to the casual friendliness he extends to her.
"To me, you're entirely normal. Wanting to stop such a thing is a good thing."
no subject
Natsuno frowned. "It was very injust."
