it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!

Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

Romeo ducked and ran, darting under hands that were trying to grab him. He turned to check that Alfredo had gotten through too! He wasn't leaving him behind!

Alfredo had banged himself up against the wall at one point, but - yes, they had both gotten away!

Only now there were the mysterious rooms to get past... or perhaps through; there was a dead end further ahead.

"Which room do you think is best, Romeo?" he asked, looking askance to his friend.

"The noise seems to be coming from both." Meaning the groaning.

"Um..." If the groaning was coming from both then surely they shouldn't go into either of them...

But they had to because the corridor was a dead end.

"This one!" He chose one at random, "Let's go together!"

With a nod, Alfredo reaffirmed that they were holding hands again.

Just a little extra reassurance...

"Yes, let's."

There are no lights in the room - by the presence of some floating white sheets there may be some makeshift ghosts, however, but all they seem to do is float.

There was also a mirror at the far end of the room - like those in the floor they'd just left.

"That's our way out, then," Alfredo confirmed, frowning. But what else could come up to get in their way?

"After three again, we just run and run and don't let anything get us!"

If they held hands, if they worked together, they could get out of this scary place!

"One... two... three!"

"Right!"

And - their friendship comes through! Running through this mirror (as some of the beds abruptly prove to have people in them, people who sit up-) feels like being brushed by a veil.

And then there's nothing to see but sea.

"Is this... are we underwater?"

And yet, the floor hadn't disappeared! At least it meant they wouldn't have to swim.

"I think so..."

He looked around, it wasn't actually like being under water at all. They could walk and breathe and even talk. But it was all watery and there were shadowy creatures...

"We best watch out for bad news jellyfish!"

"Jellyfish?"

Alfredo does not know the History, Romeo - though he does know of jellyfish, at least.

"Why them in particular?"

Talking is no reason for them to stop moving now, however, so he'll do his best to encourage Romeo to walk alongside him.

At least until they need to run...

"They are bad! Have you ever seen one?"

Because if he was, he must be very brave. But Romeo already knows that, Alfredo is someone very very brave!

[hisblueskies]

"... Maybe in a book? I know they can sting people, but not much beyond that."

And that they were named descriptively, for better or worse.

"I'm in no hurry to meet one - but I'll find a way to block it if one shows up!"

It could only hurt them if it touched then, right? Hopefully this part of the illusion-house wasn't that detailed.

"It's okay, if we see one I'll put up a borderline!"

So then it wouldn't hurt Alfredo!

"But let's go quick before one turns up!"

"You're on!"

And at first, the only thing that would 'chase' them was a school of fish - perhaps a bit grotesque-looking, to some, but rather tame in the grand scheme of things.

Then-

"Romeo, why do I hear music here?"

It was the theme from Jaws, not that Alfredo had any reason to recognize it. Would Romeo?

"I don't know!" He tilted his head, he didn't recognise it at all but... "It sounds scary! Let's go through this bit quickly!"

[hisblueskies]

"Right!"

Making sure Romeo was close, if not still holding his hand, he rushed forth seeing an exit.

More fish - and bigger fish - looked their way curiously, but most just kept passing them by.

The music didn't stop, though - but it did get quieter.

Romeo held onto Alfredo's hand tightly as they ran, looking around. The music was quieter now so maybe that meant they were near...

"There!" A door! Not too far away at all!

The door was, perhaps fittingly, positioned right inside a cave opening, decorated with coral.

"Yes!" Alfredo wanted to punch the air - but that could wait until they were through it.

Above them, something wooshed through the water, but it was too little too late to interrupt the boys.

Alfredo kept them moving at full speed...

Romeo ran right beside Alfred towards that door, once they got there he pushed it open...

And the illusions behind them faded. They were stood in the middle of the carriage on the train. Safe and sound!

"We did it!"

He holds up his hand, high five time! Actually! This definitely calls for double high fives! He holds up his other hand as well.

It really does!

Alfredo completes that double-high five with zero hesitation, a big relieved smile on his face.

After that, though, he lowers his arms, clearly thinking about something.

"... Where do you want to go now, Romeo?"

Hopefully not back through that car! He thinks it contained more than enough scares for one day.

"Let's go and find the snack table!" He grins after the double high five.

"All that running made me hungry!"

He's a shinki, he's always hungry. But now he's even more so!

'Bout wrapped for these two, then?

"You're on!"

Worse comes to worst, if the snacks are gone they can go to the kitchen.
