Introducing Xion and Kairi- Standard Car, late Day 1

You know how you have one awesome friend, and they meet your other awesome friend, and together their awesomeness just increases exponentially? Yep, that was Lea's feeling as he led Xion to the standard car where Kairi was waiting. Though he wasn't sure how Xion would react, he still couldn't wait for them to finally meet each other.

Giving Demyx a gift and an explanation- Music Car, Day 2

Lea found Demyx in the music car, as was pretty much the norm since he'd arrived on the train. So much so that Lea had gone looking their first in stead of Demyx's room. He still needed to give him his gift from the faire, as well as an explanation for... Xion's attempt at an explanation. "Hey, Demyx," he said. "Got a minute?"

OTA-various cars and days

The rest of the month, when not otherwise busy, Lea applied himself to his chores and to general life on the train. He could often be found in the Kitchens, either cleaning or helping cook, though he also spent time various other cars. In the Library, he could either be found either reading, or at one of the tables, writing or doodling in his notebook. In the Greenhouse, he could sometimes be found tending to his and Taiki's little patch of plants; mostly herbs and a few tomato plants, they seemed to be coming along well, but he wouldn't object to some help or the advice of someone more experienced with plants. He could also be found sparring or practicing his Keyblade forms in the Training Gym, or for those less physically inclined, he was always up for a bit of fun in the Games Car And of course, he could occasionally be found just moving between cars, or relaxing in the Standard Car. If anyone wanted to find him, he generally wasn't too hard to spot with that hair of his.

Lea looked up from the plants he was watering and grinned a bit sheepishly. "Nah, not really," he said. "But at least it's not a brown one. Taiki and I are sharing this little patch, and it seems to be doing OK so far. I asked which were the easiest plants to start with, so we've mostly got some herbs and a couple tomato plants."

Tidus hums curiously, an ohhhh? at this news. So Lea and Taiki were growing things together, huh?

"Cool. Hey, we need all hobbies, huh? You got nothing you really wanna try going someday?"

Maybe when he's feeling more confident.

"If these make it to harvest alright? Not sure," Lea said. "Will probably keep growing the herbs, because they'll be handy to have for cooking, and will maybe try some other vegetables. Or maybe even some fruit, long as it's not the kind that grows on trees; without magic plant-growing powers, trees'd take way too long to grow."

Tidus snorts. "Trees on a train? It'd be easier to buy them at that rate! I mean, trees are nice and all... but I dunno about here."

He looks about the area with that, hard to imagine the trees wouldn't get crowded quick if they were stuffed in a train carriage.

"Berries, they grow closer to the ground, don't they? Oh," his tone shifts, "but I think they're usually bushes."

Is that any better than a tree?

"Yeah, they wouldn't able able to be very big trees even if we did get some," Lea said. "There's not enough space for one thing, and not enough soil for another; trees need a lot of space to dig their roots in or they'll just topple over."

"And yeah a lot of berries grow on bushes. They'd be a bit more workable than trees, but would still take too long to grow. We might be able to grow some strawberries though, or other fruit that grows on smaller plants or along the ground, like melons. We might be able to manage some grape vines too; not sure how fast those grow." It had to be faster than trees though, right?

"You know more than me! I didn't know how any of those things grew! Never had a green thumb," he laughs lightly at himself. So strawberries didn't grow on bushes, huh? The more you know!

"This is different from what you said you used to do back at the school. Wasn't that crafting?"

Lea chuckled too. "Growing up in a place called Radiant Garden, you pick up a few things by osmosis," he said. "Though prior to this, I never really did any gardening myself, aside from watering my mom's window boxes sometimes." Radiant Garden's well... gardens had tended to focus more on flowers than fruits and veggies, but not exclusively. And he'd known a lot of people who had small vegetable gardens.

"Forging. And yeah that involved a lot more fire and hammering and a good bit more magic. This is a lot different; long as you keep them watered and everything, the plants do most of the work themselves. It just takes a little while."

Crafting, forging- the same thing Tidus was thinking, so good enough.

"Mmm, I think I'd find the forging more fun. Doing things with your hands?" Way more appealing. "That'd be cool to have a try at. Not that there's any room for a forge on a train," he adds with a chuckle. "You found any other hobbies to mess with here?"

"I dunno about that," Lea said. "One of my friends at the magic school, Eleven, mentioned that he had something called a 'Fun-Size Forge' in his world that was small enough to carry around while travelling." He considered a moment. "I might have to look into that, honestly. See if I could get it from the shop. Would probably cost a lot of points, though..." After all, even a small forge probably wouldn't be small enough to fall into the 'small item' category.

"Anyway, I've been helping out with the cooking some, even when it's not Blue team's turn. It's kinda fun. I could probably work on getting better at baking though; that's the one kind of cooking I'm not good at."

"Well- hey! Couldn't hurt to try if you're gonna use it."

Since what would the cost matter if it got plenty of use? Even just for the fun of it. And Tidus had to admit - he was pretty curious what a portable forge looked like, exactly.

"You want a partner in the kitchen?" he goes on. "I'm more of a pan-fry kind of guy, but I know a few things about baking if you're having trouble. Mami's always around baking too," he adds as another name. Would she mind him mentioning her? Probably not, when it comes to baking.

"Don't think she'd mind helping out a guy."

"Yeah," Lea said. "Not sure I'd be able to get it, since it's not from my world, but eh, no harm in asking." The worst that could come of it was nothing, after all.

"And sure, why not? There's usually a good number of people there anyway, so one or two more won't hurt. Plus I wouldn't mind improving my baking; at least you guys might be able to show me what I'm doing wrong."
