3 Kazoo - Adult Ballroom Social and Epic Kids' Game Night

You've seen the flyers. You've heard the announcements. You've ordered additional party reinforcements if you wanted them. Some of you have even helped her to prepare. And now it's finally here - the Adult Ballroom Social that she's been planning these many, many week-and-a-half.

But you wouldn't know it only took that long to throw it together. She's gone all out for this one. Including the wardrobe that's been opened up, there are four cars that have been set aside for tonight. The main ballroom floor is in the non-training gym, which has been cleared and decorated for the occasion. The music is being piped in from the music car, where it's still playing for those who would prefer a more intimate and private setting. Meanwhile, the game room has been set out for the kids who would otherwise be left out of this adult and near-adult event.

Senku looked more comfortable near the snacks and drinks than he did lingering near the dance floor, and at least with polite finger food it wasn't all sugar.

There was going to rarely be a chance to see him so formally dressed in a three piece suit with his hair slicked back and falling just past his shoulders now.

If asked he definitely came because of his boyfriend, but that was alright, he'd tolerate maybe even enjoy a dance for just one night.

"Just enjoying the refreshments for now, huh, Senku?"

The hostess approaches with a warm smile on her face.

"Glad you could make it."

"Yeah, taking a break." Senku hummed, sipping a drink. "I'm not really the party type." He explained.

Then he paused. "I have an extroverted boyfriend who loves this kind of thing."

So there he was.

"Well, you did spend an awfully long time needing to get out more," Cassie says. "But hopefully there's been some stuff here for the introverts to enjoy, too.

"My boyfriend's a little shy himself, so I've got a bit of a vested interest."

"Ha." Senku chuckled. "To put it mildly."

He shrugged slightly. "I'm not just introverted, I also don't enjoy fun." Senku paused. "I think things are fun that most people see as work. Things like this are just...I don't know, something other people enjoy, to me."

He hummed. "It's not bad though. I may not be expressing myself too clearly right now." He admitted.

"Well, hopefully your boyfriend knows that and appreciates it," Cassie says.

"He does know that." Senku chuckled lightly. "And I'm sure he appreciates it. I don't mind too much." He'd decompress later, probably, but Gen might help with that too.

"Trunks and I have something a little quieter planned a few days from now," Cassie says. "It'll be a little more his speed. Although he did have a surprise or two for me tonight."

"That sounds nice at least." He didn't typically plan big gestures of anything.

"I'll make Gen more cola later." That was his biggest contribution to their relationship.

"Long as he doesn't have it too close to bedtime," Cassie says, rather dryly.

"This train's a bit of an odd place to have a relationship going on, obviously, but...there are a couple advantages."

He snickered a little bit. "He wishes it had caffeine. But nah, he's a grown ass adult, he can decide what he wants to drink."

He tilted his head at her comment. "Is it? How?" He was perplexed by her perspective.

"Well, you meet people you never would have met otherwise, for one," Cassie says. "Trunks is from another universe. And I've learned a lot from him, too."

She takes a sip of her drink.

"Also, you might not get to be alone much, but at least you're never far away."

"Oh that, yes, it's been interesting meeting all kinds of people." Senku smiled. "Gen's from my world though."

He blinked. "You can't? We spend a lot of time together."

"Well, I don't mean literally never," Cassie says. "But to get properly, y'know...intimate, it's a bit tricky. Though, uh...not impossible."

Senku seemed to stare at her for a moment until it clicked. "Ah." He blinked a few times.

"Never really thought about it, or how convenient something like that might be."

"I've thought about asking the train for more space for stuff like that," Cassie says. "Wondering what the right tone to strike with a request like that is, though. Pretty sure she wouldn't respond to 'Yo, get us a fuck wagon.'"

"As a gift to Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi, I did ask the train for couple's rooms, but that was well over a month ago." Senku commented.

"I didn't think there was much hope in asking, but it seemed only fair to honour their request."

"Well, another request shouldn't hurt," Cassie says.

"Maybe I should ask for a Fuck Wagon. More forceful language might show her we're serious."

"I'm not sure those two things are the same." Senku said and then shrugged helplessly.

"Don't ask me, I don't know."

"They're not," Cassie says. "Cars with beds for couples in them seems like a better idea anyway. More private, usable for more things. You also don't have the awkward moment where you see two people go into the car that everyone knows what it's used for."

"Doesn't bother me personally, I likely wouldn't even think about it." Senku admitted.

"I live in a very small community anyway. You hear more than you want to."

"Yeah, I'm not hung up much myself," Cassie says. "But not everyone on this train is comfortable with the same things."

She takes another sip.

"'S'all hypothetical anyway at this point."

"If I'm not involved, I couldn't care less." Senku popped a bite into his mouth. "And odds are, I'm not involved." He smirked.

"I'm sure people could be creative if they needed to be."

"Yeah," Cassie says. "They sure can be. Just don't tell Trunks I said that."

"Ha, I wouldn't." Senku chuckled. "It's not usually a topic of conversation I find myself in, considering." He shrugged helplessly. It wasn't his area of expertise.
