Kazoo 3 - Rabbit Time

What: WangJi is walking his rabbit... or the rabbit is taking him on a walk. Come say hello

WangJi had awoken earlier than normal and today was unable to go back to sleep. So he had gotten up so as not to disturb his cabinmates and gone to the greenhouse carriage to visit his rabbits. Little Radish had been sound asleep when he had arrived, but Little Carrot had been awake and ready to see him.

So today WangJi let the rabbit out to play and the rabbit started wandering, heading towards different carriages of the train. WangJi followed along behind the small black rabbit at a pace that matched how fast his rabbit was moving.

"Where do you wish to go?" he asked his rabbit after it had traveled from the greenhouse car, exploring through the train with WangJi's guidance to ensure it was safe. "Are you hoping to find the kitchen?"

The black rabbit sat up, looking around before beginning to walk again, WangJi following. He was completely losing track of time, but that was fine with him.

Yoite had heard about his rabbits from Hua Cheng.

He hadn't been expecting to run into one.

He looked at WangJi with a small smile. "Can I...pet your rabbit?"

Little Carrot sat up, looking at the new person as he approached. Hello, new person.

"You may pet Little Carrot. He likes people."

Yoite crouched down then and held out his hand to Little Carrot, just to make sure he wasn't going to scamper off after that much.

When it seemed okay, he ran his fingertips across the top of his head.

Little Carrot moved forward to sniff the hand that was held out to him. He wasn't at all concerned. So when Yoite reached over to pet him, Little Carrot didn't mind, a happy bunny look on his face as he was petted.

"I have another as well, but he was still asleep."

"Someone...told me that." Yoite admitted with a nod. "That you have rabbits. I don't really know anything about them. Are they nice to have as pets?"

"Ah!"

People (?) who were not expecting to see a rabbit hopping towards them as they waddled through the train: one (1) green, larva-like animal!

People who are equally surprised but considerably less startled: one (1) tall young boy, against whose ankles the bug has just flopped backwards.

"....Hello," Ken says to the pair, moving aside so they can pass if the rabbit so prefers. But that's not enough, is it? They are all working together on the train. He needs to say something more.

"That's a nice rabbit."

....He's bad at this.

To be fair, WangJi wasn't much better at meeting people. He had gotten better here, but back home, he would have been the quiet person who just stared at people, unintentionally making them nervous or making them think that he hated them.

"Hello."

Little Carrot paused seeing the other small creature. Not many were closer to his height. He sat up, sniffing before getting down onto all fours and leaning forward and sniffing again.

"Thank you. He is Little Carrot." He glanced down at the animal Little Carrot was currently looking out. "It looks like you have a friend as well."

"....I do," Ken admits, just as Wormmon decides to wiggle closer to Little Carrot now that they are being introduced. "This is--"

"Wormmon," says Wormmon, who feels it would be polite to introduce himself. Especially since Little Carrot doesn't seem like a scary not-Digimon. "Nice to meet you."

Little Carrot didn't talk but also didn't seem worried about the talking creature in front of him. As Wormmon moved closer, Little Carrot sniffed at him, little nose wiggling.

"Nice to meet you." And now to Wormmon's companion. "I am Lan WangJi."

Finally, Little Carrot decided he was pretty cool and did a little hop in place before racing for a brief moment around Ken then behind WangJi before coming to a stop in front of Wormmon again.

"That means he is happy."

Xingchen wakes up earlier than normal and he is working in the kitchen to help out with preparing breakfast. He sets out the bowls and food on the counter for the children to grab when he sees and notices the rabbits hopping by for a walk, he stops what he's doing and smiles. How cute. He bends over, being a tall man to have a closer look at their adorable faces and long ears.

He looks up and he sees his nephew-in-law, "Good morning. Are those your rabbits Hanguang-jun? Are they looking for something to eat?"

It seemed the rabbits knew exactly where the food was because they had led WangJi to the kitchen after he had retrieved Little Radish when Little Carrot seemed to be looking for him. Now, they were both here in the kitchen. A logical place really.

"Good morning, Daozhang," WangJi said, giving him a bow. "They are. I'm sure they must be looking for food now."

He reaches over to gently boop them on the noses with a fingertip and rubs between their long, soft ears.

"What do rabbits like to eat? I think we have lettuce, carrots, and berries but then again I don't know what is their diet. We have everything. I do think rabbits have a delicate diet."

Both rabbits were very happy with that. Little Carrot made a happy rabbit face at the boop and then getting pet. Little Radish was sassy and waited until the petting was done to fix his fluff. WangJi just shook his head slightly at his rabbit.

"I usually give them herbs and lettuce as long as it is a darker green. They can have berries and carrots as a treat."

Which if Xingchen wanted to give them a treat, he wouldn't stop him.

At first he only sees the rabbit, both ears perking up and only one of the nine fluffy monstrosities of tails showing at the moment, walking with all the fluff around has proven difficult so far. Nothing makes Wuxian happier than seeing actual animals instead of the dangerous youkai he's grown accustomed to, as he kneels down to offer a delighted fanged smile with a hand out.

And then he sees who the rabbit is with, pausing in confusion as he looks up. That is definitely Wangji but he seems just a little different too.

"Lan Zhan! Did you make your ears and tail disappear?"

Actual animals? Yep, Little Carrot was an actual animal, sitting up on his hind legs to look at the person approaching him. Hello, person.

WangJi spotted the WuXian coming over. Having already been informed about the WuXian from his world by the other WangJi, he was not surprised. But clearly, he was.

"I believe I am from a different world than your Lan Zhan. I have been on the train for quite some time."

Eagerly, yet gently, he gives the adorable bunny a few soft pats with glee. Really, he should ask first but this is one of the few small joys of life returning in the chaos he's been through.

Meanwhile, he hasn't seen any of the others yet, so this is all new and a shock to find out. Now he wonders if there's another him running around.

"You're not the Lan Zhan that was in Hakagemachi with me, but you've been here for a while? How can there be two of you in one place?"

It was alright. WangJi didn't mind others petting his rabbits as long as they were careful and besides this was Wei Ying even if it wasn't his Wei Ying. Also, Little Carrot didn't mind either looking rather happy with the attention.

"Yes, that is correct. Duplicates aren't common but they have happened multiple times here. I roomed with who was blind while his counterpart could see." A brief pause. "You are also not the only Wei Ying."

"Heyy, WangJi, what's up? You two having fun?"

Made it all the way to the standard coach? Good job, you two. Tidus is sitting on a booth seat, but facing out where people walked through, looking like a guy either chilling out or waiting for something. But neither would stop Tidus from recognising the guy, giving him a smile.

WangJi had been rather distracted, looking down at Little Carrot to ensure that he was safe in his "solo" trek through the train. At the voice, he looked up. Little Carrot stopped too, sitting up on his hind legs, ears twitching as he looked for the source of the voice.

"We are. He decided he wanted to take himself for a walk today."

"Well hey there," Tidus greets the rabbit, inching his head down some, but not really knowing how to treat rabbits - non-existent as they were on his planet. Head lifting as WangJi speaks to look back up at him.

"Oh yeah? They like cats? Or dogs?"

Oh hey, there he was. Little Carrot carefully hopped over to where he was, sitting up again, WangJi following.

"They are different from both if I understand them. I have not owned either of those though I know several who had spiritual dogs. But he seemed to want to explore on his own."

Rabbits are too adorable for their own good! Meng Yao spies Little Carrot as he readies himself for the day. Peeking out of his cabin, he smiles at WanJi and bows quickly, elegantly, as befitting one of a lower station than the youngest of the Twin Jades.

"Good morning, Young Lord. And good morning..." his voice trails off as he thinks - does he know this fuzzy child's name? He laughs to hide a sudden rush of panic. His memory is impeccable, so it is far more likely that WangJi never told him the rabbit's name.

"Out for a stroll?"

WangJi spotted Meng Yao while they were walking and gave him a bow as well. Little Carrot spotted the movement and stopped, looking over at him. Ah, he must not have introduced the rabbit to Meng Yao. He was rather famous for his memory. That was his fault clearly for not introducing his pet.

"Little Carrot is the rabbit's name. His brother is Little Radish." He gave a nod of his head. "He wanted to explore on his own today so I am going with him."

"It is a fine day for exploring." Meng Yao agrees and bends down to offer Little Carrot his hand to inspect, "Would you mind company? I am still feeling the effects of my sleep."

Which is strange for him. He is usually quick to wake and quick to shake off the fuzziness of slumber. Maybe he isn't feeling well?

Little Carrot hopped over to sniff the hand. After a moment, he suddenly did a little bounce in the air, bounded off towards WangJi, only to go back over to Meng Yao. "That means he is happy."

Rabbits had an interesting language of their own. Bouncing around was usually a sign of being happy.

He nodded his head. "I wouldn't mind if you came with us."
