Kazoo 19 Red Meeting [open]
Who: Red Team, people Who Are Basically In Red Team Let's Be Honest, people who are dating a Red Team member (god im so sorry), etc.
Where: Training Gym
When: Month Kazoo, Day 19. After lunch.
What: It's the monthly red team meeting! This is a free-for-all mingle to have everyone check in and get an idea of what everyone else can do. Prompts will involve reviewing the last mission, giving information, and introducing new characters. "but elle, my character wouldn't attend the meeting!" lightning's not their mom they can skive if they want.
Warnings: will be added if necessary
Sometimes Lightning wishes some of the others who've left were still here to handle things. It's what she'd wanted, back when Tony and the others had stepped in: someone to cut away the irritating chaff and give her something to aim at. To make things less complicated.
Now that someone is her, and it means she has to get over herself. No room for hesitation. And so, as lunchtime is winding down, the clink of plates and empty glasses starting to drown out the sounds of a meal, she taps her knife against her own glass for attention. It's not an unfamiliar announcement, at least.
"Red meeting in the training gym in fifteen minutes. Set your SCAs if you think you'll be late. Anyone else... Come along if you want. It's mission talk, more or less."
---
Even the format of the meeting is familiar. It's worked so far, even if most of the faces have changed since the last time. Odin stands sentinel, the horned crest of his helmet not quite brushing the lights of the carriage, and does little other than shift occasionally. With him not exerting himself, the drain on her eidolith is just lessened enough that she can keep him manifested for long enough to use him as a training dummy.
"Icebreaker time. Last time I asked how you'd take this guy out. This time's the same, except you can't hit her." Her being Buttercup, a scowling twelve-year-old, looking small beside Odin.
The kid clears her throat, and Lightning sighs. "Right. You tell me a way that hits her, she gets a free hit back. A real one."
Everyone gets a turn to answer or discuss, though she doesn't chase anyone not wearing red for a response.
---
While she's mostly happy to let people discuss what they want, she brings several issues up in the course of the meeting:
Several team members overexerted themselves or panicked in the recent mission, and endangered themselves and others. Light doesn't call people out by name, but she definitely makes eye contact with several people around the room. She gets it, she says, but if there's something like that that's gonna keep happening, she wants people to at least tell someone. If it's a fear, a memory, an injury... It doesn't have to be her. Just someone they trust. Preferably as soon as possible.
People are making use of supplies, which is good. She reiterates an offer to help purchase anything important passengers might need for missions, whether components or weaponry, and has a supply list on-hand for passengers to read through. There are weapons and gear available, and she'll fetch anything they might want to try.
[ OOC: Post your own toplevels with new discussion topics! Mingle all you like, I'll have Lightning moderate but this is a discussion for everyone.

[But upon reading the supply list, suddenly he finds himself wandering... will this stuff even work on him? So for all that Murphy is bitch and sass he ends up being a little more serious as he goes up to Lightning, idly flicking his finger against his palm as waits for the chance to say something without anyone close by.]
I'm in a little bit of a complicated situation. I sort of exist in a state between alive and dead. [He makes a so-so motion with his hand. Technically dead, but his heart still beats. He can still father children. He just has a few inconvenient cravings.] Bummer, yeah. I don't know how much of this stuff will work on me.

The panicking on the battlefield... some people do know why. However, Zagreus was fighting elsewhere. Ryo and Persephone were also in another area entirely. So when Lightning is alone, Thanatos walks up to her. ]
About what happened during the final battle... I don't like when people grab me by the wrists.
[ He drops his gaze to the floor and sighs. Saying he dislikes it is putting it mildly. ]

Near the end, he vanishes briefly... To come back with a mug that he practically shoves into Lightning's hands.]
Here. Reward for your hard work.
[It's a chocolate mug cake with a big dollop of whatever ice cream they have sitting around on the top, with a spoon shoved in it.
It has been three days and the primary takeaway of this is that everyone appreciates a mug cake.]

Hey. Thought I'd come over... I'm obviously not on your team, but I might be joining up on some missions depending on what purple needs or if one of the other teams need coverage.

He's not going to interrupt anyone, he's patient, he can wait. He will however see if he can catch her attention when she isn't busy. ]
Have you got a moment? [ He'll ask, but not to worry, he'll get to the point. ]
I wanted to ask you a couple of questions about the mana drives and the other supplies on hand, that Tidus explained how to use to me, but I was looking for a bit more in-depth information.

So she's pretty okay with being a teaching tool. She scowls anyways, as if daring them to hit her.]

I’d use my spear to open up one of the armor plates and use Nemesis to shock him in his exposed innards.

Than's ice breaker answer
I would cut the threads of Odin and instantly end his life, and if that cannot be done, I would do that to Lightning since she summoned him.
[ Then he sighs, and he can't hide the edge of bitterness from entering his tone. ]
And if my powers of death are nullified again, I shift Buttercup out of the way and let someone else, probably Zagreus, finish the job.

I'd make him focus on only myself, leaving him wide open for attacks from others.

An attempt! (Threadjacks/ just grabbing him are a-okay)
"Oi..."
[He knows one thing apparently-- that Buttercup shouldn't be standing so close to the hulking monstrosity. So regardless of whose 'turn' it is, and what brilliant strategy they are offering, this doll-sized kid will sneak close in the background and try to get Buttercup's attention, so he can
insistently tug on the sleeve of'help escort' them to safety. Hurry! Before the bigger big thing notices!](no subject)

In armor? Carve him up with a few sword slashes. Can cut through pretty much anything. Out of armor? Get on top of him and find a weak spot to chop at.
[The answer's pretty obvious, duh.]
Topic: Death wants to keep the Red Team alive
[ He lifts his arm with the manadrive. It's from Lightning's world, and Ryo had purchased one for him. His voice, once steady, grows a little nervous when he switches to talk about something going against his duty of death. ]
I'm going to be helping the healers out with this. Especially after the last mission. So... please don't be afraid if I approach.
[ And if someone wants to talk to Thanatos about something else, feel free to do so here. ]

[That is 100% his luck. He gestures to the mana drive.]
I don't think that stuff will work on me so if something happens I guess I tough it out.
[Worse comes to worse? He'll be very upset with a second death but, y'know, he'll take it over excruciating pain.]

Floating just beyond her is a neon green....something or other that isn't a ka (it's Eva's Lele). Bakura's fruit is basically a fistful of pulp, but she holds it out to the Pokemon anyway. ] Want some?
[ Float. Float. Bakura shrugs. She hadn't honestly expected the thing to take bribes, but one never knows what one does not attempt. Chomp. ]

He may have also pieced out, aloud, that 'changing how the air around him functions is definitely a bad idea if I have to avoid hitting someone though...', which, would have been equally audible.
Apparently that 'Stand' thing- really, how is it Not a Ka?- is kinda freaky!] I don't know for sure though.

well I guess SOMEONE has to bring snacks
(Probably an equally valid question: Who on the train even knows how to make donuts?)
Anyway, they're just simple ones - plain and chocolate, either uniced, with a simple glaze poured over one half (better for holding without getting sticky) or a few with powdered sugar (probably not as good for holding). There's also a basket of donut holes (you have your choice of uniced or powdered sugar here, no takebacks).
Oh, and if you're looking for a culprit, Ghost is quietly lurking in the corner, occasionally telekinesis-ing a powdered sugar donut hole from the basket to eat (or pitch at someone for horrible puns). There's not much evidence, considering the powdered sugar, but there's a bit of chocolate-flour dust stuck to the bottom hem of his purple polo.
Look. There's only so much Baking Mishap you can avoid with telekinesis.]
no subject
Murphy comes over to Ghost to stand beside of him, not saying anything out loud, just leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets and one leg kicked up.
Useful talent. We could have used that.
The fall of humanity is rough and if there were obstacles they could have avoided just to get a small item? Man, at least one of those bites should have been worth a little telekenesis.
