Brooding and Fighting
Who: Tony and OTA
What: Varies
When: Basoon 16- late (might add another time/ date too)/ Basoon 17-18 Training in Gym and also on those days, tearing up a row of chairs in the standard car.
Where: Varies
CW: Language, Talk about death/ anxiety, depression; violence-ish?
Notes: For the first part- His first response is going to be to tell you to go away. However, if your character will stick it out beyond that, feel free to tag in.
[Brooding]
It was well after dinner when the majority of the passengers wouldn't be in the dining carriage with none of the lights on. Those who snacked tended to stay in the kitchen. There are a few dishes left to do, but they were far down on Tony's list of worries.
He'd had several drinks from the bottle of scotch he'd purchased and that had led to a very dark mood. His back was to the doorway, his helmet was on the table next to him with the open bottle, and a projected image was playing in front of him. There were three voices in the video- his, a woman's, and a little girl's. A little girl who looked a lot like a younger version of Buttercup was playing around a park and a lovely blonde woman following along after her. The woman keeps looking at the camera and joking about Tony needing to stop filming everything, but of course he makes up some stupid reason about why this was vital for the sake of all of humanity. There's another one with the same duo are playing in the woods with a tiny set of Iron Man masks and gloves.
[Training]
He was a little hungover, but in a way the bad mood just made him want to fight even more. He'd called over the ICP for anyone who would like to start training to learn hand to hand combat.
He found some material to make small cushion gloves like those a boxer might have (only obviously not as good as those). He's wearing his cargo pants and a black tank top. He calls Peter up to the front of the class and passes over another set of the makeshift boxing gloves.
[Added! Getting spare parts- Late afternoon 17 ]
Tony found the belt Manabu had set aside for a holster for his gun and decided to put his tools on it. He was already sweaty from the training, so he didn't bother cleaning up when he was going to be working more. So in his black undershirt, a sledgehammer over on shoulder, and a metallic glove from his suit he whistled his way to the standard carriage.
There was no need for this many chairs in here. They would never need this many. So, he went over to the front row and lifted the hammer. With a purely devilish grin, he grunted from the exertion and TWA-BANG. The headrest of the chair went flying. He kept working, going back and forth between the sledgehammer, a very concentrated beam from his glove for cutting, and a screwdriver until he had one short row of chairs dismantled.

He waited for the one piece of information he would've expected after such a bomb was dropped and it was infuriating when it didn't come. He was on his feet and stepping in between Ignis' route to the door. "What the hell? You're not trusting me with who this person is? Me? Don't you think I deserve to know who knew that had happened in the first place? What happened to all that loyalty crap you're always spouting?"
no subject
"The responsible party is a new lady on the purple team. Her name is Raven and you should go talk to her." And that's when he heard Tony's voice raising and the loyalty comment had him shaken. His jaw clenched and he stared at the floor. That comment really cut him to the bone and it hurt so he turned around, not facing the other. If Tony had punched him it would've pained him a lot less.

He'd expected an argument not that wounded look on Ignis' face. He cursed in his mind at himself for being so careless. He ran a hand through his damp hair, trying to think of what to say but then Ignis looked like he might still leave just in the opposite direction. Tossing the wrench aside, he caught the young man's arm and tugged him into a hug. "I'm sorry, Ignis. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I didn't mean it. You're always loyal. It's your middle name."
no subject
Ignis offered zero resistance to the hug but he didn't reciprocate the gesture at first. His mind was busily going over so many things. Maybe he truly wasn't loyal enough and that was why Noctis didn't want him. Somehow his heart had been seen through to and it hadn't been good enough. He tried to do so much for the people he loved and cared about and in the end, maybe it simply wasn't enough.
All his life he tried to be perfect and follow orders to keep things running smoothly. He tried to do what he was told and make other's lives better though it was mainly the prince's that he focused on. This trait went all the way from King Regis' charge of Noctis when he was six until this moment at being here on the train today in Tony's arms. Everything he did and everything that he was, was done in the name of service to others, something or someone greater than himself.
That extended to the train as well. The advisor certainly hadn't asked to be on the council but he accepted it gracefully and kept his team safe on their mission. He didn't ask for help and didn't complain once that his team was mostly made up of children. Ignis also learned things and wanted to keep things running smoothly for Tony by doing his homework, but was it all for nothing?
When he heard Tony speak about his loyalty..he didn't look at other people on the train or hit on or flirt with them and he didn't want that in return. And what more could he give or do that he hadn't already?
As he pondered this, his arms slowly reached up to encircle Tony's shoulders. No words were spoken, because Ignis had nothing to say.
no subject
"I'm so sorry, Ignis. It wasn't true. You're beautiful and honorable and I'm lucky you give me the time of day. It was wrong that I lashed out at you and I'm sorry. I don't.. I don't like feeling vulnerable and knowing someone besides you had known just.. well with you it's different. I'm safe with you. And.. Tiger, please stop internalizing that. The words weren't true. I'm begging you.."
no subject
Pulling back, he kept his head down afraid that Tony would see right through him. His arms remained around the other's neck and his eyes stared at the black shirt in front of him. "No I was the one in error. So from now on I will report whatever I find out as soon as I discover something in the future." Ignis shook his head slightly. "It was wrong of me to not have said something sooner, especially regarding the delicacy of the situation. It was thoughtless of me and it won't happen again."
no subject
"Look at me, Tiger. You and I.. we're equals. You do not serve me. You don't not do my bidding. You are your own man who has all the freedom and wisdom in the world to decide what you should do in any given situation. If you didn't think you had enough concrete information, then trust it. I'm sorry I lashed out. I.. Peter's.." He shook his head. "It doesn't matter why. I just lashed out at you for reasons that have nothing to do with you."
no subject
Once they pulled back, green eyes closed against the words that he was perfect. It was so obvious to him that it just wasn't true. However, Ignis opened them back up at the nickname again as if that was some sort of magical key that was needed to get through. "I don't.." He cut his own voice off at the equals thing as the thought 'know how' finished his statement. He had no idea how in this world as to how to do or be equal. All he could do was listen to Tony in a sort of miserable mental self imprisonment.
Peter's name caught his attention so he focused on that. If he took care of Tony then everything would be alright because his needs weren't that important and always came after the other's.
"What about Peter? Is something wrong?"
no subject
"He's being a pain in the ass. But, that's not the issue. The issue is whatever you were going to say. You are what's important right here and now. What don't you what, Tiger? Talk to me."
no subject
He shook his head. "No.." Ignis stopped himself knowing if he used his usual refrain of 'nothing' that Tony would obviously see right through that and might get upset. And the older man was already upset enough.
With a sigh, the advisor tried again, but closed his eyes briefly. "I don't.." Why was this so hard? "I don't know how..to..be an equal." Green orbs then looked at Tony almost helplessly. He knew no other way other than to be second if even that much.
no subject
There was a moment where Tony had the feeling he was about to get brushed aside again and he started to frown, feeling helpless to fix this. But the, Ignis seemed to somehow push through. His eyes widened a bit in surprise but shifted quickly to concern. However, he didn't try to argue the point. "We'll work on it. Okay?"
He pressed another kiss to his lips and then just to be irritating and break the heavy mood, he ruffled the man's hair. "Okay, so.. grab some of those stacks. We need to take these into the luggage carriage and find some really big suitcases to stash them in. On the way I'll tell you about Peter, alright? Maybe you can help me out with this."
no subject
Wanting to help, Ignis picked up the requested stacks and began to carry them. It was all he could do at the moment. And while he did this, he steadily fought to ignore how raw and exposed he'd felt both at the exchange with Tony and having to admit something that was really hard. So he figured after they were done he'd just go back to his room, take a shower and try to sleep. If he had his way, Tony would be beside him but that was too much to ask for.
no subject
"So.. apparently, he's been feeling very guilty and morally conflicted about the last mission. Granted, it was my call to pull him off the purple team and place him with Buttercup- which I now know was a mistake- he would've liked to help the children and vulnerable people instead of fighting. Anyway, he was upset that we didn't find out what the goblins were really wanting and that we just opted to kill them. He's still in that age, I guess, where everything is still black and white to him instead of knowing the world is really gray at best." He turns around and shoves one of the doors connecting the cars open with his back. "Well I didn't know he was having some emotional crisis over this crap and I made him get up in front of my fighting class. I didn't know he was nervous, he was stuttering and shaking and being all dramatic. Really, you would've thought I'd just asked him to cut his aunt's heart out with a fork! So he throws a temper tantrum and runs off. I gave him some space, but went and talked to him- that's how I know what was going on. Well, so we talked and I think everything's a little better, but what the hell am I going to do with him, Ignis? He's going to be saving our world without me in just a few years and he has a moral crisis over some goblins!"
no subject
"Give him time. He'll take his place when he's ready and not before." Ignis didn't know if Tony was going to allow this, but it was definitely worth a shot. "He is not you and therefore doesn't hold the same point of view. But if you keep the lines of communication open, try not to be overwhelming and allow him to tell you what he's comfortable and not comfortable with, I'm sure you can find some middle ground."
CW: Talking about past sexual abuse
Last door and they were in the luggage carriage. "Alright we're looking for something large and maybe has a lock." And without skipping a beat, he was right back on the other conversation. "Thing is.. I know he's been through a lot. He's kind of a miracle of psychology that he's got it together as much as he does. His parents died when he was young and then this older kid at school.. well.. he did something bad to Peter. It makes him freak sometimes and self-conscious. Which, again, is understandable. It's just a lot."
no subject
Listening further, he wasn't sure Tony should be telling him such things about Peter, but it made him wish the imagined thing hadn't happened. No child or anyone for that matter should go through anything like that. Ignis immediately felt bad. "I should rather hope that he has had some form of counseling or professional help for it." It was the only thing he could say. "And I do sincerely hope the offending party was properly punished."
no subject
He gave Ignis a look but it crumbled into a laugh. He held up his hands because he didn't have a prayer to argue that one. "Yeah we- hey that one would work. See? Up on the green one. Help me get it down."
He clamored over a few suitcases before pulling out a large purple polka dotted trunk. Why was it purple polka dots? Who knows? This was a train traveling through the void. Weirder things have happened. He paused in his task to flash Ignis a frown. "Well.. He doesn't know this and I have no plans to tell him, but the guy had gotten away with it for years, but then Peter told me what happened. I uh.. I put the guy in coma for a week. Didn't even need my suit for that one."
no subject
Green eyes blinked in confusion at a purple polka dotted container but said nothing. The eyes widened then when he heard this was going on for years and silently he was horrified. But then Tony said he put the other in a coma without his suit and finally that cracked him. It was more like a relieved laughter but it was still laughter regardless.
"Now that is something a father would do." Ignis was proud of Tony even if he wouldn't come out and say those words. To be perfectly honest he was surprised the other man was still alive.
no subject
It helped a lot of what had been wrong the last few minutes with them. He couldn't explain it but Ignis looking like at him like this felt like they'd weathered whatever storm that issue had been between them. "Think so? He's going to never forgive me for it, but.. bought him a one way ticket to the other side of the world and told him if I ever saw him again or if Peter ever said he saw him, I'd kill him." The threat had worked like a charm. He had an alert hacked into every major airport in the continent that would tell him if Skip had ever come back.
He shook his head. "You should've known what I said earlier was total bullshit, Tiger. If you think about what I've told you there's no way I think of you any less than the safest person in the galaxy." He crossed over to where Ignis stood and pulled him into his arms. "And the sexiest, but that's a whole other matter."
no subject
The advisor was surprised that his lover had been so generous to pay the other's way to get out of town although it was a good solution for all parties involved. That was undeserved but he shook his head about the killing remark. "I really can't blame you."
Green eyes focused on Tony bringing their earlier conversation up and he tried to smile even if it might've come out a little sadly. But those arms felt wonderfully healing and Ignis easily reached up to wrap his around the older man's neck to hold him close. His heart felt like it was mending with this simple gesture between them. "The sexiest you say..I would definitely have you show me just how sexy sometime."
no subject
He didn't give the younger man a chance to answer, before he was back to kissing him and his fingers were slipping to the hem of his shirt and dragging it upward. When they had to break again, he smirked. "I like unwrapping you like a present." He stepped back in, hands roaming admiringly over muscle and broad shoulders.
no subject
Ignis grabbed onto the back of the dark hair and moaned lightly at the feeling of a hand on his ass. This he loved too and wasn't sure how to encourage it to stay because he was holding onto both Tony's hair and his back in order to keep his lover close.
He pulled back surprised at the other's answer though he honestly should have expected it. "Tony.." he began but there was no time. He was already letting Tony dominate his mouth and he could feel the other impatiently tugging at his shirt. Needing this because of their hurtful conversation before, Ignis wasn't going to stop anything. The present comment made the advisor blush and he reached back up for another kiss.
Well you guys asked for it
That was definitely Tony and Ignis, and they were definitely in the middle of something...private, judging by the making out and Tony's hand on Ignis' ass. Oh, and also, Ignis was shirtless. Reigen was...well, surprised was the mildest way to put it.
"...huh?"
Really, it'd have been nice if Reign could astral project out of this situation, but the sound of his voice had already made his presence known. Now they both would know Reigen was there. Maybe God could have mercy and he'd fall off the train right now.
We did!
Before he could decide, he heard a noise behind them from the doorway into the luggage carriage. He froze and briefly considered their position. There was no denying this, of course. There wasn't a way to claim anything else was happening than the obvious. They'd been caught red handed. Drawing back from Ignis, he turned and looked to see who was interrupting them and he shot Reigen a glare. Still, he hadn't removed his hand from Ignis' backside.
"There isn't a chance you'd keep this to yourself, is there?" His voice was a bit breathless and his skin flushed with arousal. The most obvious thing lacking here was any visible shame on Tony's part- assuming you didn't count the request Reigen was discreet about what he'd just caught them doing.
no subject
"Ah, Reigen, this is an unexpected surprise." There was more of an emphasis on the surprise part as he realized of course that they'd been caught. Tony had requested that the other keep this quiet, but he wasn't sure if that was going to be a possibility. Damage control raced through his mind. The advisor knew they were on borrowed time here keeping this a secret.
If Ignis lost his position on the council due to this, he would bow out as gracefully as he accepted the position. He'd known it was a possibility once he and Tony got involved or whatever anyone would call it. By the Six, the advisor himself didn't even have a name for it
