open!
Who: Wen Sizhui and open to all with two closed starters
Where: All over the train
When: Day 20 - Merriment
What: Wen Sizhui about and interacting with people as he tries to get back into the swing of things.
Warnings: mentions of death and execution and murder (past).
Kitchens
There is a sense of calm when he goes through with the meal preparation of the month. The task is familiar enough that it makes him smile. Sometimes one needed the familiar motions of chopping, preparing, and cooking to help them feel centered again. He hears a clatter and looks up from where he's washing dishes with a warm smile.
"Oh! Were you looking for me?"
Quiet room
Sizhui takes a deep breath in then releases that same breath out, slow and steady as he settles into a meditation practice that Hanguang Jun had taught him since he was a young boy. His eyes slowly close. Another breath in, breath out.
The door slides open and Sizhui doesn't move from his place, instead remaining calm and smiling softly as his meditation is walked in on.
Spending time with brother
Sizhui makes his way through his brother's usual haunts to see if he could find Sizhui. There were quite a few things they needed to talk about. He pokes his head around the corner.
"Ah, didi?" he calls out. "Are you here?"
shovel talk with Dennis
Someone else he wanted to talk to was his friend Dennis. Well. His friend for now. Depending on how things go, he may gain another brother soon enough. Though he wonders if Dennis truly knows what it means to be invovled with a Lan. He only knows from the stories he's heard from Xian-ge and Hanguang Jun.
"Dennis?"

"Dennis?"

As he retrieved the lettuce leaf, Little Carrot sat up on his hind legs for a moment, definitely knowing it was food. You, Sizhui, are currently this rabbit's favorite person!
"Of course." He had given those to his rabbits as well and they had been fine with them. "It is good to see you," he said after giving him permission to feed the rabbit.
no subject
He certainly was a favorite whenever they visited Cloud Recesses and he had been snuck into the back mountain warren that wasn't supposed to exist. Sizhui beams and brings the lettuce down to let the rabbit nibble at it.
"It is good to see you as well, Hanguang Jun," he replies as he smiles up at the man who...was like but not like his father figure at all. "Have you been well? Ah, were you hungry? I could see if I could whip up something for you. I promise not to make it spicy like Xian-ge's cooking."
no subject
"I would like that. Thank you. I have been well. How have you been after the mission?"
no subject
"Unfortunately, I hadn't the opportunity to go on the last mission." His smile turns sad as he neatly cleans up his work station. "I had learned some things. About my family in other worlds."
no subject
"But it is good that you learned more about your families."
Since they might as well all be family. They were all essentially from the same world even if things were slightly different.
no subject
"You're not the same Hanguang Jun from Lan Sizhui's world."
He seems different. As far as Sizhui is concerned, he is different from Lan Sizhui's world.
"Did the same things happen? The boy you raised...is he Lan Sizhui?"
no subject
There were somethings the same. Other things were different.
He nodded his head. "Yes, I raised him as well."
no subject
He smiled.
"Hanguang Jun raised me in every world."
no subject
no subject
It's comforting to hear it from this Hanguang Jun.
"With all of the possibilities, there could be one that had not been raised by you. Though I find that a little difficult to imagine."
Then again, he had been raised in a loving family despite the tragedy that befell the rest of his family.
no subject
Which was most ideal after all, but...
"I'm sure I must be very lonely in that world."
no subject
"...I think you would be too."
no subject
"I would only have my rabbits, but they are not such good conversationalist."
He glanced down at the rabbit happily munching on his snack.
no subject
Sizhui looks down at the rabbit as well, chuckling softly before reaching to pet it gently.
"I wouldn't want Hanguang Jun to be lonely in any world," he says firmly.
no subject
"Thank you. And I wouldn't want you to be lonely either."
no subject
He smiles softly at that. It's good to know that Sizhui, no matter what world they came from, is always loved. Be it by his own family or by Hanguang Jun and Xian-gege.
"Are you and Xian-gege married back home?"
no subject
"We were not, but it was something that I would certainly consider."
no subject
He blinks, surprised by this.
"...Hanguang Jun, were you and Xian-gege ah....together...like that?"
no subject
When his life was being threatened. Because that's what you did.
no subject
He nods, smiling gently at the thought of Hanguang Jun and Xian-ge figuring it out. He always thought they had figured it out a long time ago. Though the first few days in their new home had meant that Hanguang Jun and Xian-ge moved around each other a little awkwardly.
"I believe you will figure it out."
no subject
"Thank you. I believe we will as well."
no subject
"Hanguang Jun?"
Sizhui fidgets a little. He puts the knife away and sets whatever trash in the trash before looking at the man that is his father from a different world.
"Does your Sizhui hug people still?"
A strange question to ask.
no subject
"He does. He is more selective than he was when he was younger."
Aka, no hugging random people.
no subject
Perhaps because his own had lived with them for nearly twenty years.
