[ On the evening of Nebula 18, Seto pops onto the ICP screens. The only thing different about his appearance is that his hair is slicked back (someone's experimenting), and he clears his throat. ]

...Good evening. We hinted at it during our game the other day, and we've told a few of our closest friends, but it's official. Yugi and I are getting married tomorrow night. We realize it's last minute, but a few recent circumstances forced our hands and we didn't find it prudent to wait anymore.

As it's last minute, we don't expect a lot of company, but anyone's welcome to witness it. Don't worry, it's going to be a very quick ceremony by wedding standards. We'll also have light snacks afterward.

[ After...not that much planning, to be honest, the day is here. The gym is clean, with about 30 chairs lined up in front of a clear space. A small smattering of blue and purple balloons decorates the hall, and overall it's just set up to be a quiet commitment ceremony.

Let's see if it stays that way. ]

[ There's no formal receiving line, just a clear space toward the other end of the gym. They've managed to set out a few snacks: not the classiest, more cheese and crackers and little bits of vegetables, though donations are welcome.

Seto's laptop is here, playing a few odd tunes he'd saved over the years. Just enough music to be passable for a dance. ]

Bringing a cake and sweet treats!

[Donations are forthcoming too. There hadn't been much notice about the happy couples nuptials but luckily baked goods generally didn't take that much time. When Silvia tried to subtly sneak over to load up more goodies on the tables she tsked a little when she saw the spread. It wasn't terrible- I mean she could have found something to eat but... it hardly seemed complete somehow.

Her Eevee, Lunja, had a tray strapped to her back, and was carting in a smattering of sugar cookies shaped like Kuribohs, with little frosting eyes. Being a small pokemon it couldn't carry much but wanted to be useful so Silvia had capitulated easily.

Silvia herself was carrying a layer cake and a bag with more of the cookies. Finding a clear spot she started setting them up, giving a satisfied sigh. Upon reflection she hoped.. well.. the cake didn't look too out of place. She had intended to include blue as well.. but she'd used too much food coloring to make the variations in purple... oh well. It was probably .. fine.]

[ Seto is aware that they rushed a few things. He's paying dearly for some mistakes, but here...look, Silvia was kind enough to clean up his mess in one respect.

He bustles over to help her put everything in place. ]

...I didn't know your skills had artistic flair too.

[storms_eye]

[She gave a little jump at his approach, but thankfully had already placed the cake down on the table beforehand.]

That's.. uh.. part of the fun isn't it? The embellishments.

[Lunja arched her back to indicate that her cookies shouldn't be forgotten, and Silvia leaned down to take them from her companion]

I just hope these will be enough.

We're not expecting much of a crowd. A few close friends.

[ He smiles at the Kuriboh cookies as he passes them over. ]

They're perfect, Silvia. How can I repay you?

You are pretty amazing at baking.

[Yugi well aware of what to him amazing mean and to him something like this was pretty much amazing. After all a lot of work would have had to go into it.]

[To the compliment Silvia blushed lightly]

Thank you. I've just always found the whole process relaxing- something to focus my thoughts on.

[Speaking of nerves. As she continued setting up, her eyes flitted to Yugi]

You're not feeling nervous about today, are you?

I guess baking is something people find relaxing. Maybe I should try it sometime.

[At least try and make something sweet that might be nice once in a while.]

As for nerves. A little but not as much than what I was expecting honestly. But I think that's because there is nothing to worry about.

The ceremony had been lovely! Romeo loved weddings, they were always so sweet and nice and Kaiba and Yugi both looked really happy!

Afterwards he ran off, to come back with a tray of the sparkliest cakes. A mess of frosting and edible glitter, there is perhaps cake under all of that, he brought them in proudly.

"Happy wedding day!"

Another unexpected treat. Seto had seen Romeo with the other kids on a few art projects, but to receive this gift for the party...it's special.

He smiles at the cakes.

"Wow, this must've been a lot of work. You really didn't have to rush for us."

"No! I wanted to make them! It doesn't feel like hard work when you are making yummy things for people!"

He grinned. "And weddings should have lots of cake and sparkly things! Because they are special and everyone's spirits should be really high!"

And cake helped with that!

"They'll definitely feel something when they see this."

There's definite laughter in his expression, but it's joyous for once. Everything is just fine.

"I'll have to find a way to repay you. Mm...are there any games you like?"

That certainly was a sparkly cake and an impressive one at that honestly.

"Thank you. The cake you made is impressive. I honestly didn't know glitter was edible." He really didn't, so he was impressed to know there was.

"Just special eating glitter. So you should never eat the glitter that's in the craft boxes!"

Or he would get sick!

"Oh, I at least know that. Didn't actually know there was glitter one could eat..." Cooking and baking was not one that he was all that use to to the point of knowing those things at least.

[Leia hadn't wanted to intrude on the ceremony itself, since she doesn't really know either of the young men involved. But she does want to offer her congratulations, and a gift. Thus, she arrives bearing what looks like a wine bottle with a bow around the bottle's neck, but the liquid inside is turquoise-colored.]

Congratulations, both of you. I figured I'd leave the ceremony to your friends, but I at least wanted to stop by and bring you a gift.

It will still be something that might take a while in getting use to though. Though really things don't change just because your married right?

You're quite welcome. I recommend using slim flute glasses when you drink it, both for tradition's sake and because toniray can have a bit more of a kick to it than some people expect.

And I will, thank you. We have all been somewhat thrown together here, and it's good to see people coming together for happy occasions, rather than just missions.

[Devero approaches the newlyweds as the casual reception starts. He carries a pair of unassuming little electronic things clasped in both hands in front of him and smiles a little... shyly?]

I have something for you, if you folks want it. Something from my world.

[Because if there's dancing, Devero is so there, and for anyone who looks even the least bit interested, he'll probably come over with a hand extended and an invitation to join him.]

[ Seto turns to Yugi, nods, and then greets Devero with a smile. ]

You're too kind. I know we didn't give people time to gather gifts.

[ And that's totally fine. They don't need much. But he is curious. ]

Believe it or not, I already had these on hand.

[He hands one of the little cartridges to Seto but hangs onto the other for the moment. Talking to them both:] On my world, all families are formed by choice. We call it family-claiming, and there are lots of different ceremonies and traditions to commemorate joining your life to someone else's--

[He babbling a little. He collects himself with a shake of his head.] Anyway, most folks who go through family-claiming record it in a family ledger, and that's what these are.

[Moving his hands slow, he opens the cartridge into a big futuristic tablet and angles it to show them. The screen has opened automatically to the family ledger app, though Devero hasn't presumed to add anything in, so it's basically just showing a default 'welcome new user' type prompt.]

I thought they might be a nice way to commemorate your marriage. If you're interested in having them. There's one for each of you.

The priest has been somewhat wall-flowering for this one, knowing this couple even less well than he'd known the last who's wedding he'd attended. But he doesn't even hesitate to put his hand in Devero's and join him for some dancing. Of course he doesn't!

Devero is, of course, only too happy to whirl Koumyou into his arms as the next song starts up, beaming down at his boyfriend.

"Having a lovely time," he says. Yep, even when he was struggling not to cry during the ceremony, brief though it was. "You, my dear?"
