Ain't no party like a kigurumi party

What: A pyjama party or more specifically a kigurumi party

Yugi figured it would be nice to have a little bit of fun and relax for a change and after remembering of a moment when he was relaxed it gave him an idea. So platform day he had managed to buy something with the idea of using them to just have fun with those he was close to.

So he had set out to put the package in the gaming carriage, figuring this place was the best place to be as there was enough to do. Soon he placed the kigurumi he had brought down along with a note to each of thier cabins minus Kaiba who most likely got the message in person.

The note along with the kigurumi states: 'I hope you will join me in the gaming carriage for a fun evening. Wear what is provided.'

Yugi himself was already there dressed and making sure there was enough snacks that he made and such while waiting. He just hoped this went the way he hoped it would.

Seto hadn't been able to hide the small smile on his face when he'd heard Yugi's idea. He cherished that memory, as awkward as he'd felt back then...and as awkward as he feels now, shuffling down the halls in a pastel silvery-blue onesie. The Blue Eyes hood is pulled over his head, and the little wings flap behind him as he walks.

He has a strange black metal orb tucked under his arm as he arrives, but as he releases it it whirs and floats beside him. Odd.

"So how did we want to start game night?"

The gift of a kigurumi was so unexpected that initially Silvia had assumed that it must have been intended for one of her roommates, but no, there on the note it was clear that it was for her. The invitation brought to mind visions of playing a variety of games and taking some time outside of her more recent concerns and losses that was too enticing to pass up.

.. but she was expected to wear the pajamas there? Was she going to be the only girl? Not that it super mattered but it triggered some of her more self-conscious concerns. So she decided to bring the new outfit with her and change in a car nearer the party as to limit her time out in the view of all the passengers. Once that was completed she edged cautiously into the gaming car, hoping she didn't get the time wrong, or she didn't look too silly... or that she wasn't the only one partipating.

"H-hey... there. Is anyone here already?"

Her voice was a little thready and soft but once her nerves were squashed it would be fine. She still wondered how Yugi had even found a wolpertinger themed onesie complete with little blue wings and tail.

"Here and ready to party," says Kaiba in a deadpan voice. He's shuffling around the car helping Yugi set up, stacking game boxes and such. The wings on his pajamas flutter behind his back as he moves.

"Been a while. How are you holding up?"

He sounds it too.. Silvia thought to herself before letting her gaze linger on his expression a little longer than she should without saying something aloud. Maybe she's reading too much into it, or projecting but she wondered briefly if he's been going through some tough times too. Shaking off the thought, the pink-haired girl moved over to see what she could do to help as well.

"Oh, you know.. I'm doing alight. I guess." That wasn't entirely true. Recently, she had been spending more time with her roommates and getting to know them then in the next moment she'd been back home and learned some disturbing information. Then to make it worse one of her roommates really disappeared after helping to guide Silvia back to the train. So, a lot had happened in that interim. "What about you?"

Wait.

How had Yugi gotten Kaiba to wear a kigurumi in the first place?! As if noticing his attire for the first time, she couldn't help glancing back, this time taking in the outfit.

"I hadn't decided yet" Yugi said finally putting the hood of his own over his head and for a change the one he had picked for himself was Dark Magician as at least the hood for that was able to go over his hair.

Soon he spotted the orb and that was enough to tilt his head slightly.

"What is the orb about?"

Yugi had soon waved slightly as he had just been finishing off a few things.

"I was already here setting everything up. Welcome." He said with a smile "Glad to see you wore what I left." He added, soon ajusting the hood of his Dark Magician kigrumi

"Thank you, Yugi.. er both for the invitation and the outfit. It was really unexpected!" Which was certainly true. "Hey, nice looking Dark Magician Kigurumi!" The card that had been made famous by Yugi's use of it in tournaments seemed like a perfect match.

Maybe if she did think of it more as cosplay and less like pjs.. she could get more into a role and relax but Wolpertingers tended to be elusive creatures anyway so maybe it was fitting that she was hesitant.

"Who all is coming?" Though she could guess, she made some small talk as she checked out the setup.

[Ryou didn't expect to find a gifted kigurumi and a note outside his cabin inviting him to the gaming car, but he isn't going to turn it down. Not when he's still uncertain from the recent talk with Lia Nine.

So he turns up, dressed in the Necrofear kigurumi provided (with the hood off for now), looking around to see if anyone else is already here or not.]

[Katsuya, go figure, ended up with a dog Kigurumi. He's managing very well now.

...He is not managing with Bakura's for now, instead going ghost white and jumping a good foot or two without moving from the spot somehow.

"Nyhhhh....somehow..."

To the surprise of no one, he is still adjusting to the train officially assigning him 'Doggo'.

But hey.

Fortunately, a kigurumi is nothing if not the ultimate equalizer. Not only does it hide everyone's figure, but no one can judge if they too are wearing cute animal PJs.

"Hoh, y' got a neat one tho' huh...some kinda...angel bunny?"

Not quite buddy.

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."

All seething hatred for the fact that he's in a dog kigurumi has vanished in honor of just staring.

What.

The hell.

"......................Whatcha got there.........?"

Hey Jonouchi! [Ryou smiles, seeing nothing wrong with this kigurumi. Sure, it's awkward walking through the train wearing it, but it's a great design!

...At least, Ryou thinks it's a great design.]

You like it? I didn't think there'd be a kigurumi like this either!

"Sounds more neutral than positive," he observes quietly, "but I get it. Especially now."

It's been a rough few months (and will only keep getting rougher!) He notices her stare about then and shuffles awkwardly.

"I think that's why Yugi wanted to do this. To remind us of a time that was simpler and happier."

"I thought you might have a clue, unless that's part of the puzzle," Seto answers, eying Yugi curiously. "It randomly appeared in our room one afternoon, so I thought you'd have to have let the gifter in...or maybe not."

But Yugi playing a game with him would be different than this, right? He suspects his husband doesn't know, so his tone's mostly confused.

"I'll let you know when I figure it out," Seto shakes his head, staring at the orb. It continues to glow peacefully.

"My best guess is that it's some kind of personal assistant device? It just showed up in my room one day with my name on it and Yugi swears he didn't put it there or see who did. I gave it a fingerprint scan and a password, and that's about it."

Any ideas, Jou?

She paused for a moment, considering his words. It's not like she wanted to bring down the mood of the room anymore than she already had so she didn't expand on the subject. "You know how it can be." Silvia noted that he hadn't really answered her question either but he did seem to mirror the unspoken sentiments. "Oh yeah, probably." Though now he had her worrying about Yugi too..

"Blue-Eyes, right? Your Ace monster." Trying to lighten things up. "I didn't even know they made one of those."

[Silvia raised a hand in greeting as her eyes glanced over the most recently attendee. This was one of Yugi's friends she hadn't really gotten a chance to know yet, not in her own dimension nor here.]

Hey there! Looks like.. we can check off another type. Spellcaster, Dragon, Winged-Beast, and Fiend!

[Yes, it was a lame opener... but well.. she couldn't say nothing. That would have been rude.]

"Oh hey, Jou!" Smiling when she saw the familiar face poking out of the dog kigurumi. It might have held some past baggage for him, but to her it looked pretty cute and seemed oddly fitting. Dogs as a species tended to be funloving, loyal, and true- just like him.

Her shoulders started to relax, the tension lessening since she was not the only one in animal pjs- however when he described hers as an "angel bunny" she looked downward and nervously laughed.

"It's a wolpertinger actually.. but.. hey.. yeah.. I guess.. it is .. kinda.. an angel bunny..." Let's face it, part of the reason she had the card in her deck was because the artwork was adorable which is how it had caught her eye in the first place. "In.. folklore they're not always as cute though and they have fangs.. and...the mixed animal features can vary." So what was the train saying about her in bringing in this kigurumi? That she was all kinds of messed up?

She wasn't sure why she was rambling like this- like somehow he was trying to convince him that either her or her monster could be fiercer than they appeared? Once she thought about it she was able to silence herself and looked to the games set out to have something to focus on.

"Kind of a random sort of party isn't it?"

"I mean only we are able to get in, right?" Abilities didn't work on rooms either, right? At least that was what he assumed so it was odd in it's own way.

"But no definitely wasn't me, but for all I know it could have followed me and I might not have noticed."

"I hope that you get to enjoy the evening. I have tried to make it as fun as possible." He honestly felt like they all needed it in one way or another, for Yugi it was for things he hasn't really told people about yet.

He just wanted a time where he didn't have to think much.

Soon he was tugging on his hood, a small chuckle passing by his lips.

"You would expect me to pick Kuriboh or something, but sometimes you just gotta go for something different and works with my hair. As for who it's Seto, Katsuya and Bakura"

[Because of course the host was going to be around. At least he wasn't busy either and had finished all that he wanted to do before anyone turned up.]

"There are people who can phase through the doors...but I'm worried about why. I checked when I noticed it, nothing else seemed to be out of place or missing."

He's still eying the orb with some suspicion. "It likes to give me as little information as possible. I wanted to keep an eye on it in the event it gave me clues...but maybe getting my mind off it will help?"

He picks up a board game and smirks. "It's been a while since we've played."

Kaiba smiles a little, pulling the sleeves down. Little claws line the end. It's...almots cute.

"I wouldn't have approved it. Must be the Industrial Illusions end of the licensing deal. Pegasus and his cartoons..."

Darkness clouds his face, but only briefly. "But my dragon's been my guide for years. What's special about your monster?"

He's asking curiously, not snarkily. Don't worry.

He sees....uhhh.

...Well he hears something. Maybe. For whatever reason he's getting the exact feeling he has when one of his teachers is staring at him expectantly for something- all accompanied by his usual seer-struck clouded eyes.

The blond shakes it up. "Nyhhhh...I got nothin', nothin' r'lated anyway."

"Wolbur...tiger...?" Not. Not quite.

He tried. "Nyhh, I mean I guess I can't deny th' look 'f th' outfit anyway. I guess it's got antlers too huh?" Well now he just has to ask.

"'F it's got rabbit stuff an' birds an' th' like, how come it's called that?"

So Katsuya asks, as if he hasn't butchered the pronunciation. Ah, well. Ultimately the blond just shrugs and grins. "Yeah, tell me abou' it..! I think it was Yugi's idea, but hey, I'll take it! We need a break~!"
