Fight Club Time Again (I had requests for it)
Who: Trunks Brief (
light_of_willpower) and you!
Where: Training Gym
When: Day 20
What: The Usual Fight club training. Where people come to spar and practice and learn with each other.
Warnings: Occasional language and violence? Also guns/firearms.
This time Trunks didn't bother to announce the Fight Club over the ICP. Not beyond a short announcement of day and time. The Club was already mentioned in train literature and most people knew about it, or could find out easily.
So instead he did his usual set-up. Marking off an area safely for ranged weapons and fire-arms, ensuring practice weapons and mats were all available. Even making sure there were first aid kids and an 'off-limits' area just for safety. Then, he's there as usual--to supervise, but also to train just like everyone else.
OOC:general set up is 'Ranged area demarcated by cones' 'off limits/healing area demarcated by cones' and the rest of the space covered in mats with training dummies set up

The Doctor | OTA
Mister On-Coming Storm has entered and is not happy at all with what he sees.
Re: The Doctor | OTA
This temper-show so far had nothing on either of his parent's-tempers.
Re: The Doctor | OTA
"Then listen, very clearly. This closes, now."

"Training. Training to kill." The Doctor growls, and glances over at the gun rack and then back at Trunks.
no subject
Trunks let his eyes-narrow. "I won't say we never kill. I've killed before, because it has been necessary. But it is not our first goal or priority. And at Fight Club we take steps to NOT hurt each other."
no subject
"We don't need guns."

So, is it just guns that you've clearly got trauma about, or is it weapons in general? 'Cause if it's the second, I've got bad news about, like, half the train.
no subject
I don't encourage fighting to be the first solution but - sometimes, that has to be the solution.
[There's a hard face on The Doctor]
But - I will never like guns. So, to answer your question, the guns are what gave me the trauma.
[Blimey, how many saw that?]

Closed to Cassie Time Laspe
There's at least one forced 'sleep' cycle before Ten goes to seek Cassie out. Which, along the way also finds the candies.
no subject
On the plus side, this means she'll be in a more peaceful and mindful sort of mood. On the minus side, this means he's absolutely going to be interrupting.
no subject
He spots Cassie hovering about the floor with her eyes shut. He continues to suck on the candies in his mouth. While still standing, next to the door, gives a loud clear of his throat and waits.
no subject
"Yeah. We should get this out of the way."

"Right. So I'm going to start with the first and most urgent part, which is that you can't act like that around guns no matter how you feel about them. If any one of those had been loaded, we wouldn't be having any kind of civil conversation about this."
She can and will get to peace and reconciliation later. But above all else, in any space where there are firearms, treating them safely is a matter of life and death.

After Wash, before Cassie- A cup of tea and a chat
After a moment, it seemed satisfied with whatever it had learned, the tips of its tail relaxing and the gem's light fading to a softer glow. It then glanced up at Leia and gave a soft, "Esp."
Leia looked up from her book at the sound, smiling a bit when she spotted the Doctor. "Ah, Doctor," she said. "I saw you on the passenger roster, and was wondering when we'd run into each other. If you're not in a hurry, would you like to sit down and have a cup of tea?" She indicated an empty chair across from her.
no subject
"Hallo." The Doctor remarks to the creature, "Are you trying to see if I can be trusted?"
Ten then notices that there is someone humanoid near the creature. Oh, someone else that also recognizes him. It's clear from how he's looking at Leia he doesn't know who she is.
"Yes! Very much so!" The Doctor beams and pops over to the seat.
"You seem to know me. So who are you and who is your friend?"
no subject
Leia, meanwhile, chuckled slightly. "Most likely," she replied in place of her Pokémon. "She likes to give new people the once-over. She can push a bit more if she feels she needs to, but most of the time she doesn't."
When the Doctor took his seat, Leia Bent up a cup of Gatalentan tea, identical to the one on the end table next to her, and offered it to him. Well, mostly identical; hers was partially finished. Though the Doctor would probably be more interested in the fact that she made the cup of gently steaming tea appear of of thin air than about details like that. "I'm assuming you still like it sweet? I made sure there was a bit of sugar already added, though if you'd like more just let me know."
"And I do know you; several versions of you, as a matter of fact. Though it's fairly clear that the recognition isn't mutual, so I imagine you'll probably be wanting an explanation for how I did what I just did. But first, introductions. This is Mirrorbright, my Espeon." She indicated the purple creature who gave a slight nod in the Doctor's direction. "And I'm Leia Organa. You may have at least heard of me even if you don't actually know me; I'm told that fictionalized accounts of parts of my life have been made into movies in some universes, though I have yet to see them, so I can't vouch for their accuracy."
no subject
"Hallo." The Doctor gives the Espeon a beam. "Wut's an Espeon?" The Doctor doesn't confirm or not if he's heard of Leia Organa or not.
He's more curious about how she knows several versions of him but he doesn't know her, "I don't suppose thar are crumber sandwiches or something with banana?"
no subject
She then Bent up a small plate with a few cucumber finger sandwiches and some shortbread-style cookies that the Doctor would find were banana flavored. "Here you go. I'd appreciate if you don't spread it around that I can do things like this, by the way; I don't mind helping out with general supplies, but I'd rather not have people pestering me for things they could get themselves with a bit of patience and saving their points."
no subject
Wait, what, Ten gives her that look and looks at the walls. He thought it was The Train, "No... I... won't. Sorry, - how?"
