Insomnia Club Meeting?
Who: Conan and Anyone
What: Insomnia
Where: Kitchen
When: Catfish Day 3, very late
It was late, well after midnight. And sleep was not happening tonight.
Conan had dragged himself out of bed and made his way to the kitchen where he claimed one of the tables. He sits there, clutching at the strongest cup of coffee he could make, and stares moodily out the window.

It was late, well after midnight. And sleep was not happening tonight.
Conan had dragged himself out of bed and made his way to the kitchen where he claimed one of the tables. He sits there, clutching at the strongest cup of coffee he could make, and stares moodily out the window.

He stops a moment as he recognizes Conan. Shouldn’t he be asleep? He’s seven. Peter doesn’t know a whole lot about little kids but he’s pretty sure they’re supposed to sleep. He really, really hopes the reason doesn’t have to do with trauma.
“Oh.. hey. Uh... what are you doing up?” Well that just sounded rude. “Uh, I mean... are you okay? It’s kinda late.”
no subject
"I couldn't sleep," he says.
no subject
“Yeah, that’s a mood.” He states, tone not quite so cheerful. “But you’re okay though, right? Like, you don’t usually have issues with sleeping, right? I mean I kinda don’t usually get to sleep much-and it’s like the first time I’ve run into you this late at night.”
no subject
"I just have trouble sleeping sometimes. I usually just stay in my room."
no subject
"Yeah, me too." He admits. "Still, nothing a little hot chocolate can't fix." He returns to his bright mood. "I usually read a lot when I can't sleep. It helps keep my mind in uh... one place if that makes sense?"
no subject
There was a limit to how many times even Conan could read the same book.

"Hey, Conan, couldn't you sleep?"
no subject
After dreams like that, he didn't think that sleep would be coming any time soon.
no subject
Because that moody look certainly suggested it.
no subject
Rather, it was important to him. But it definitely wasn't anything he wanted to talk about.
no subject
But he understood if Conan didn't want to talk about his dreams.
Besides, he was about to get himself a cup of the evil brew. "I'm going to get a cup of coffee too. Are you hungry? Should I grab anything else from the fridge?"
no subject
"No thanks. I'm not really hungry."

I love those Conan icons. He looks so blasé about everything; it's hilarious!
I have so many icons of him making "so done with everything" expressions
It's such a marvelous face. XD

He’s always been plagued with bad dreams, going back centuries. He has vague memories of suffering from night terrors even as a human. And yet now, now that he has both his memories of heaven and of his full, long life swirling around in his head, they feel even worse than before.
Yawning adorably, he wipes the sleep from his eyes as he enters the kitchen only to find it already occupied.
“Isn’t that supposed to stunt your growth?” he asks Conan, blandly.

He sits down across from the other small boy.
"What are you doing awake?"
no subject

"You don't act like a child, you know."

And right on time, here comes Kaito, making his way straight to the coffee machine.
"Did you make paint stripper again?" He pulls a face at the smell coming from the pot, but pours a cup anyway.

"You know, I'm pretty sure coffee is not meant to try and eat the coffee pot."
no subject
"As opposed to adding all that stuff? You might as well drink syrup."
no subject
"I like my gut to remain un-acidified." He retorts and slurps, just to be obnoxious.
"And I like sweet things!"

"Though I'm not sure I can blame you for wanting to escape, I'm well aware that Dread snores. And so do I, though not like he does," she said, chuckling.

His tone was slightly awkward. He wasn't really sure how to talk to Sarai, now that she knew how old he really was, and that he'd been lying about his age all along. It didn't make sense to put on his act as a child, but he also didn't know her well enough to really be comfortable showing his true self.
