Winter Wonderland [Event]

”Good Morning passengers. Today is day Twenty Four of the month of Catfish. You may wish to look out of the window.”

As passengers wake in their beds they will indeed notice something different about the light. If they look out of the window, instead of the ever changing void they will see white slopes of mountains, flakes of snow alling down around them and frost covered trees zipping past the windows. If they glance at the ICP on the table they will see a message.

Investigating the dressing cart they will find the drawers and cupboards unlocked once again. However, instead of the fantasy-esque clothing of world #25768 they will find thick winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. There are heavy fur lined boots and even some ice skates.

Entering the garden carriage they will see that the glass dome of the roof has opened, leaving the carriage exposed to a bright blue sky. Any nonsense of the past few weeks has vanished, leaving the carriage pristine. Not that that is easy to notice as it is covered in a thick layer of snow. The paths are clearer, a light dusting of snow but easy to talk through. Around the paths the drifts are high, perfect for snowman building or a snowball fight.

The streams and the pond in the centre are solid ice. Anyone brave enough to try to find the ice holds their weight for ice skating.

And the ICP message was correct. There is hot chocolate in the stores.

Romeo scarpered as the snowball came flying towards him, laughing as he ran to find good cover! Once he found something to hide behind he scooped up more snow for more snowballs.

Time to find Kaito!

Kaito goes easy on Romeo, tossing his return fire softer than he might.

He doesn't tone down the acrobatics to dodge though, rolling behind a tree after being hit.

"A hit a laudable hit!"

"Here's more!" Romeo threw more snowballs in Kaito's direction, running through the snow to try and catch up with him. Kaito was fast and good at hiding! Also good at gymnastics!

"Bet you can't get me!"

"Good throw!" He laughs, and ducks behind another tree, tossing a few back at Romeo in turn.

"Bet I can!"

Romeo laughed as the snow hit him, running to hide again and gather more snow! "Good throw Kaito! You're good at this!"

"Thanks!" He grins at Romeo and ducks behind a snowbank. "You are too!"

Romeo laughed and made more snowballs, ready to attack Kaito with! That tree over there looked like a good place to attack from but first he had to get there! He gathered all his snowballs in his arms and began to run!

"Foolish to turn your back on me!" He crows.

"COMMENCING BOMBARDMENT!" As Romeo runs, there is a veritable storm of snowballs heading his way, as fast as Kaito can throw them! And yes, he's standing right in the open, an easy target~

Snow pelted him hard and Romeo tumbled down into the snow. He's laughing though as he scrambles round and starts throwing snowballs back at Kaito, as fast as he could! He's in the open too now but he's so snow covered it barely matters!

Laughing hard, he doesn't bother to try and dodge himself, contenting himself with trying to bury Romeo in snow.

He's been burried in sand before but snows a bit different! A lot colder for one but Romeo doesn't mind! It's fun to have the snow pile up around him! He's not given up though, he's still throwing snowballs back, some of them aren't even snowballs, he's just scooping up snow and throwing it in Kaito's direction.

Kaito calls a halt, eventually, with both of them covered in snow.

"Truce, truce! I'm starting to shiver, even if you aren't, Romeo-kun! Let's go warm up a bit."

"It is really cold!" He is shivering but he is also laughing as he makes his way over to Kaito. Kaito had called truce so that meant he wouldn't attack Romeo, it was like a promise!

"The message said there was hot chocolate so we could go and drink some and warm up, Kaito-san!"

"It really is." He grins and offers Romeo a high-five. Just a boring one, as they're both shivering.

"Deal. I wish they had marshmallows to put in 'em too, but beggars can't be choosers."

Boring high fives are still fun! And still a good way to celebrate teamwork! Even if they had been snowball fighting, it had been a fun game!

"What are marshmallows?" He had never heard of them before. Sometimes he knew what things were even if he couldn't remember ever having seen them before but marshmallows weren't one of those!

"I guess shikigami don't get marshmallows as offerings, huh? They're... basically sugar. Soft fluffy pillows of sugary goodness. Sugar and egg white and... probably some sort of gelatin to get em to hold their shape. But they melt REAL NICE into hot drinks. The Americans like to melt em over campfires, according to the movies!"

"They sound so nice!" He wants to try them, it's a pity there aren't any here! Maybe someone knows how make them?

"I like things that are made of sugar. Though too much is bad and can make you sick!"

He had never been sick from eating too many sweets, but he had been warned about it and so tried to eat them in moderation

"You're right about that." He laughs. "Well, I guess I could see if we have anyone who knows how to make it onboard? But the hot chocolate is here now, and who knows how long it'll stay!"

"That's right! The hot chocolate is here right now and so we should go and enjoy it!"

They could find someone to make marshmallows later, that he is sure of! He begins to lead the way to the kitchen.

"Exactly!" He fistbumps Romeo in lieu of fancy high-fives as they head back into warmth.

"Hopefully there are like. Towels. As I suspect we'll start to drip on the floor!"

"Oh I didn't think of that! Maybe we should go to our rooms to get our towels first!" He doesn't want to make the floor all wet! Even though it won't be too difficult to mop up. He doesn't want anyone to slip and fall just because they were dripping everywhere!

"Ehhhh." Kaito debates this. "Let's try the dressing car. It's closer."

He doesn't want to drag a cold and wet Romeo all the way to the rooms and then back again.

"Okay!" Romeo nodded with a grin, "Let's go find some towels!"

He thought the rooms were closer, but the train is a very confusing place! It doesn't matter though, he is sure towels will be find and they can get warm and have hot chocolate soon!

Who knows! Either way, Kaito and Romeo won't drip their way to the train. Into the dressing room to grab a pair of fluffy towels and a dropping off of jackets and boots and back to the kitchen they go!

Soon they were all warm again and heading to the kitchen, Romeo skipped along the train happily. Today was a really fun day!

Once they got to the kitchen Romeo went to find the hot chocolate. "So we got to heat up milk right and then add this powder to it?"
