Event: Abort! Part Two (day 25, Egret). Luggage carriage
They are on world world#27462947582 for about five hours, helping, ushering people out of the city, fighting monsters, keeping guard. All seems well in the city itself, peaceful even except for the slight panic of people being told to move south.
Wherever they are, north in the desert, travelling through the countryside to the south or still in the city itself they will notice from their peripheral vision a darkening of the sky. Looking up they will see clouds. Strange clouds, appearing in the blue sky out of nowhere.
Their SCA’s start beeping, rapidly, flashing red. The clouds are too weird to be clouds, dark shapes in the sky. It might be that the Voidtreckers heed the warning and tap their SCA to evacuate to the train. It might be that they do not.
If they don’t then there is a moment, a moment of absolute stillness as those around them notice the shapes. A confused pause. Children stop their chatter, people stop their complaining, even the monsters seem to sense something and pause in their attacks.
The remaining voidtreckers are yanked away, even without pressing their SCA, they glow gold and disappear.
They all appear in the luggage carriage and not even a second later, with no warning the train lurches, flinging everyone off their feet as it enters the void.
It’s not really easy to tell speed in the void, but they will get the sense that they are moving fast. Faster than before, leaving that world and whatever those shapes were behind.

And that is when he gets pulled back to the luggage car, and almost instantly goes tumbling up against a suitcase.

"Did anyone catch the color of that chocobo?" she asks, weakly, before trying to right herself. Though she catches a glimpse of Conan, and that makes her shake off her daze and scramble to him, checking him over. Once she catches sight of blood, she fumbles for her white mage job stone.
"What happened? I have you, I can help," she says, reassuringly, even as she's working to change out jobs, slinging Failnaught back and reaching for her fallen staff. The outfit changes not at all, but there's some sort of change, be it in Sarai's aura or demeanor, somehow--her normal warm and cheerful persona expands to be more comforting and soothing; the healing aura of a White Mage, opposed to a Bard.

And that’s when he spots Conan.
“Conan!” He’s already trying to strip off his tunic to put pressure on the smaller boy’s not insignificant wounds when Sarai approaches.
“Help him,” he begs her, headless of his own cuts and bruises.
no subject
"Boar," he says aloud. "There was a group that attacked us, and one of them got me with a tusk."
no subject
She closes her eyes, first, gesturing down at Conan's arm. A quick Regen spell, to start slowing the bleeding and knitting the injury. "No, I need to see this, please." Mostly to be sure that the bones beneath aren't broken, though she can only palpitate with one hand, as gently as she can.
Good thing that the spell will also lessen the pain of that. Sarai also wants to be sure there's no other debris in the wound, like fabric from Conan's shirt or worse from the boar's tusks. The bleeding should be starting to slow, at least...
no subject
“That boar did a number on you, but you’re going to be all right.”
He feels like a third wheel, getting in the way, but he doesn’t want to leave the other boy. He feels responsible for him, somehow.
no subject
He tenses a little as she casts the spell. He still wasn't really sure what to expect from those. But it seemed to help with the pain, at least. Although the pins and needles sensation that came with it felt very odd.
And Joss was worrying. Conan spares a moment to glance over at him.
"Of course I'll be all right."
no subject
She turns her attention back to the young man, flourishing her staff over him, now, as she casts Medica--a more serious spell than Regen was. Likely there's a flash of pain, quickly soothed by the Asylum spell, but it might be a bit discomfiting to see his wound actually begin to knit itself together. There doesn't seem to be anything dire in the wound, but a single cast of Esuna couldn't hurt.
Save the spell seems...more taxing than it normally should? Her brow furrows for the moment, but Sarai's a good healer, and for the moment, she simply waits to see what it tells her in its turn, before pressing on...

He frowns as he sees Sarai pause.
"Is something wrong?"
no subject
She lifts a hand to run her thumb and forefinger down her chin, leaning against her staff as she watches Conan's arm heal. She looks thoughtful, and then gestures, casting Regen once again even as the first Medica spell slows.
"I cast it to be sure you weren't afflicted from something from those boars, but it's acting as if you're still afflicted with something. What, I could not say. It does not tell me such things, properly."
But she gestures again, casting Esuna once more. With much the same effect occurring again, and her confusion turns into something more of a scowl. But she just looks at Conan. Sarai prefers not to jump to conclusions verbally--especially not with what she does know of her former roommate. He can explain or not, as he likes.
no subject
"I know what that is," he says at last. "Don't worry about it. I've had that for a long time."
no subject
"Something I should likely not mess with too much, then." That's said with a resigned sigh, but she nods. "Very well. How does your arm feel? Can you move it? Flex your fingers?"
Her spells should have knitted the bone should it have been broken, as well as repaired the muscle, skin, and sinew. By rights, Conan should be well, now. Or as well as he ever is, with what he's just said. Sarai doesn't have to like it. But she will keep her silence.
no subject
“You still look rather pale,” he points out, not very helpfully. Of course Conan’s pale. He’s just been gored by a damn wild boar.
no subject
"It doesn't hurt anymore," he says with some surprise.
Conan had known Sarai long enough, that he would have almost be willing to tell her a little more. If Joss hadn't been right there, and if they weren't currently surrounded by other people.
no subject
She gave a bit of a sigh and looked at the other boy, then to Conan. "You two both get a bite to eat, and then see Conan to 1B? Then you at least ought to come back and get someone to look at you--you look as though you've been punched in the face, Joss."
It's not particularly bossy or demanding, especially not from Sarai--she's not the type. But Joss is on her team, and there's still a bit of 'you are mine to take care of' attitude there. Not that Joss is the only one suffering that, lately.
no subject
He moves to help Conan to his feet.
“Right, you heard the lady. Let’s get you to the kitchen.”
no subject
But he doesn't resist Joss's help as he gets pulled back to his feet.
