it's time
who: kaiba, yugi, and open to one and all
what: DUEL. State of the art card games like you've never seen before. Afterward, lessons and deck-building!
when: Egret 1, evening
where: gym car
warnings: None at this time
Welcome to the gym car. It's a large,if narrow space, and Kaiba and Noctis have hauled an ordinary card table and chairs inside. Not exactly the formula for an exciting spectator sport. But Yugi has entered the gym from the other side, all smiles, with something under his arm.
Something is about to roar to life here. And you'll be the first to witness it.

Re: aftermath/lessons
At first, he's terrified with the large monsters appearing from nowhere, jumping back when attacks go off. But as he realises it's more and more harmless, he begins to enjoy and is cheering for Kaiba as loud as he possibly can, arms waving and being hyper.
Inevitably, Daia lets out a disappointed, "Awe..." when it isn't Kaiba who wins. But he still tries to rush to Kaiba when he gets a chance, moving to throw his arms around the man.
"Kaiba, Kaiba! Teach meeeeeeeeee~!"

Kaiba staggers back, a little caught off guard. He honestly couldn't remember how long it had been since anyone had hugged him. Mokuba was outgrowing that by now, and it wasn't as if he'd ever allowed anyone else that close to him.
But it eases the sting a little, as much as he'll never admit it. He isn't quite feeling up to hugging back yet, but he leans in with a whispered 'thanks' and pat on the back. Cough cough. Awkward.
"Any interest in running a vampire deck? Or would you rather go for more a more traditional monster?"
no subject
He gives it some thought before gently pulling back to answer.
"Are vampires good? What are some of the the other monsters like?"
He's not sure of his options, really.
no subject
"Vampires are great, because they attack fast and hard all while chipping steadily away at the opponent's life points. Others prefer a more defensive playstyle with traps. Some like to focus on elemental effects. Me...I prefer dragons."
He holds up one of his favorites, Chaos Emperor Dragon. "As you saw, dragons are too powerful to be summoned right away. You need weaker monsters to set up the ritual. I prefer a few spells to boost my dragons when they do appear. But once they're out...they're difficult to take down. Yugi's just...the champion. I'm number 2, but not for long."

"It's so pretty." The foil and colours. He likes it a lot.
Dragons do sound complicated, though. But the vampires do sound like the way to go if he has to attack to win. Speaking of...
"Is hard and fast and strong the only way to win?"
no subject
He sounds a little bitter, yet...he respects the other man. "It's ultimately your choice. You could also focus on stonewalling your opponent with strong defense."
no subject
And he really wants Kaiba to like him and not be disappointed.
So he smiles.
"I'd love to learn vampires, then. It sounds like a lot of fun. How does it work?"
