What: So remember when Danny got jinxed last month....
Where: Garden Car

There is a dented and battered thermos lying on the floor of the garden car, with no clues on where it came from or who left it there.

Glorfindel, passing through, noticed the thermos on the floor and picked it up. He was on his way to clean the dining carriage as part of chores, so he figured he'd take it there as good as any other place. He tried the lid. Perhaps the contents might give him a clue as to the owner.

At that time, Kitty entered the car as she searched for Danny. They hadn't had much of a chance to talk since the whole situation with the ICPs, and she'd wanted to ask a few more questions about his powers.

"Danny?" she called, unaware of the other person in the Garden car at the time. "Are you in here?"

"Hello," Glorfindel said to Kitty, pausing in unscrewing the lid to the thermos. "Are you new?" he asked carefully. There were enough on the Train now it was starting to be harder to tell if it was someone new or if it was just someone he hadn't met yet. "I'm Glorfindel."

"You're looking for Danny? I just came from the other direction and didn't see him." Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that Danny didn't slip by out of sight.

He debated whether to finish unscrewing the lid or fasten it back up and check it later.

Seeing that there was someone else there, she paused a moment with a sheepish smile. "Oh, uh...hi," she said. "Yeah, I'm kinda new. My name's Kitty. Nice to meet you."

She sighed a bit, still wondering where the other teen had gotten to. Then, noticing the thermos Glorfindel was holding, she couldn't help asking, "What's that?"

Attention drawn to the thermos again, Glorfindel held it up. But before he could speak, his sharp elven ears heard what sounded like a muffled shout. "Did you hear that?" he asked. Curious, he shook the thermos slightly.

Kitty frowned, puzzled. "Hear what?" she asked. She hadn't heard anything besides the their conversation.

"No, I heard something," Glorfindel said. He held up the thermos and looked at it closer. "I think it's coming from in here." As odd as it sounded, of course. But he thought he'd heard a voice. Though it had stopped. "I was just about to open it to see if I could tell who it belonged to."

Cautiously, he unscrewed the top, holding it away from his face in case there was an angry creature inside.

Kitty frowned a bit, but didn't say anything. While she didn't hear anything herself, she also knew people who had better senses than she did, so she believed him if he said he heard something.

And she couldn't help being curious as she looked on while he unscrewed the top of the thermos. "Is there anything inside?"

The bright light stayed inside the now open thermos, which was quite odd. In his experience, light did not behave that way unless something was forcing it to.

Glorfindel tilted his head, he was very sure he heard something that time? "Push...the...button?" He looked at the thermos again, looking for whatever button it was.

"The light...feels familiar," he told Kitty.

She frowned, glancing between Glorfindel and the thermos. She wasn't sure what he meant by the light feeling familiar, but she tilted her head as she examined the thermos again.

"You mean this button?" she asked, pressing the most noticeable button she found on the side.

"Are you okay?" Glorfindel exclaimed, dropping the thermos and quickly going to Danny's side. "What happened?"

She gasps when Danny suddenly hits the far wall, and she hurries with Glorfindel over to him.

"Danny! Are you all right? What was that?"

"Do you need a hand up?" Glorfindel asked. He wanted to ask how one just got stuck in a thermos, but the part-ghost human looked embarrassed enough.

"Do we need fear this happening again?" he asked instead.

Taking a step back to give Danny more room, Kitty glanced back to where the thermos had been left behind.

"...What is that thermos for?"

"Why do you even have this?" Glorfindel asked. "Did you purchase it? And how do we make sure another accident doesn't happen? How did it, this time?"

Once she was sure that Danny was okay, Kitty walked back and carefully picked up the thermos. Giving it a quick once-over, she secured the lid on it, making sure to be careful with the button in it, before heading back over.

Oh, of course. Why wouldn't a young human just carry around the one thing that could hurt them. Glorfindel rubbed his forehead.

"Perhaps you should leave it in your cabin, usually? Even if it also works as an ordinary thermos, there are safer ones to use." he suggests.

She holds out the thermos to Danny, making the sure the opening - even with the lid capped back on - is facing away from Danny.

"Here," she says.
