OTA - Ramen, anyone?
Who: Senku Ishigami, Gen Asagiri, Roland Crane and open, so very open!
Where: Kitchen
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Senku misses ramen, and so in tradition, he's making some and there's definitely enough to share.
Warnings: Shouldn't be!
Locked to Roland and Gen
Ramen didn't just make itself, and while he could cut a break, it seemed unlikely that Gen was going to leave well enough alone. He was pulling out ingredients for the broth and the noodles and he grinned.
"Glad you could make it." He addressed Roland with a smirk. "Time to pay up." He said with a beckoning motion of his finger. "Come on, I'll teach you how to make ramen."
He didn't know if Roland was familiar with it or not, but most people probably couldn't make it from scratch either.
OTA - Everybody come and eat!
It may not have been their turn to cook, but Senku didn't care because he was the one missing it the most.
The ramen that is being served has a light, brown broth from soy sauce and is actually quite tasty. Gen and Senku have had a lot of practice with substandard ingredients, and so making it with the real thing?
It's pretty decent. They went with shoryu ramen because it was the easiest with the ingredients on hand, mixed with some of the garlic and ginger that they picked up, as well as served with pork - real pork they picked up on the mission, not mystery bear meat.
Both Senku and Gen were helping to serve and dress the ramen, just like they might be at home.
[Ramen free for all, grab a bowl and Senku, Gen or Roland, or any combination of the trio above.]

"You could've just asked, my dear," Gen said with a light smile, as if nothing out of the ordinary happened. He smiled then at Tidus. "We were kidnapped from the same world - we worked together there."
He went to place a bowl in front of Tidus.

You know that seems pretty Senku, Tidus isn't surprised. Maybe he should feel sorry for his coworker pal at the very least, humming again shortly, and giving thanks for the food.
"I see. Senku told me a lil' about it. You both from the same time?"
Which is a question that either makes sense or doesn't.

He rolled his eyes for Tidus' benefit, and called back over his shoulder cheekily, "Common courtesy, perhaps?"
no subject
"Yeah? I wonder why it happens... you'd think it be around the same time. Me and my friend got two years between us. But," he says after a pause, "that's the train for you."
Weird and nonsensical.
no subject
He looked curious. "Who on the train is also from your world?"
no subject
"No one now," he answers, without looking up. Blowing on where he's grabbed a slice of pork, but waiting to take a bite. "Far as I know, we're the only ones who've been here from mine. And we're not from any of the Earths that're popular."
And despite the wait, a few chews into the food- "We gotta few people from those."
no subject
He tapped his chin a little. "That's a little weird, isn't it? I mean - what is the place where you were taken from? Have you ever met someone from an alternate version of that?"
no subject
He raises a hand, a signal of a shrug. "If there's someone from another Spira, I haven't met them."
no subject
But he shrugged once more. "It's just a hypothesis. I don't know what's special about Earth that it'd be the only one to see so many copies."
no subject
"Welll... maybe it's just... you know... a lot of the planets are the same if you really thought about it? So a bunch are just using the same words! And... it's all about where the planets are? Maybe all those Earths are just close to each other!"
Look at this reaching he's doing, dang, he could get something from out the luggage car with it.

"There's a saying where I come from," Gen was thinking of his friend, "where the simplest explanation is often the correct one."

Tidus is dubious. And is his thinking really that complicated? ...well, all of this feels way too complicated for his thinking.
