OTA - Ramen, anyone?
Who: Senku Ishigami, Gen Asagiri, Roland Crane and open, so very open!
Where: Kitchen
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Senku misses ramen, and so in tradition, he's making some and there's definitely enough to share.
Warnings: Shouldn't be!
Locked to Roland and Gen
Ramen didn't just make itself, and while he could cut a break, it seemed unlikely that Gen was going to leave well enough alone. He was pulling out ingredients for the broth and the noodles and he grinned.
"Glad you could make it." He addressed Roland with a smirk. "Time to pay up." He said with a beckoning motion of his finger. "Come on, I'll teach you how to make ramen."
He didn't know if Roland was familiar with it or not, but most people probably couldn't make it from scratch either.
OTA - Everybody come and eat!
It may not have been their turn to cook, but Senku didn't care because he was the one missing it the most.
The ramen that is being served has a light, brown broth from soy sauce and is actually quite tasty. Gen and Senku have had a lot of practice with substandard ingredients, and so making it with the real thing?
It's pretty decent. They went with shoryu ramen because it was the easiest with the ingredients on hand, mixed with some of the garlic and ginger that they picked up, as well as served with pork - real pork they picked up on the mission, not mystery bear meat.
Both Senku and Gen were helping to serve and dress the ramen, just like they might be at home.
[Ramen free for all, grab a bowl and Senku, Gen or Roland, or any combination of the trio above.]

Locked to Roland and Senku
Gen smiled cheerfully and went to the sink to wash up.

Then again, Senku did mention craving this particular dish, sometime ago. Quite frankly, Roland is more impressed that he was able to acquire a near-complete set of ingredients, scanning their setup as he approaches with his hair up a little higher. One of the animal aprons provided by Spider tied across his waist, knotted at the back of his neck while he waits his turn at the sink.
"The noodles, huh?" Immediately, he is reminded not only of a similar dish from his home, but of Goldpaw, and their love of dumplings and soups of the same style as ramen. "So kneading the dough, cutting it by hand." Sounds simple enough.

"Elaborate on this dish." Ple Two does not know what ramen is, however.

"It's called ramen." He explained. "It's noodles, in broth with toppings. Like...like a soup maybe, but not as rich as a soup because it's just broth."

How does one elaborate on it...? Roland actually gives it some thought.
"Hm. Well, these noodles - " He gestures to a pile of already cut noodles to the side of his ball of dough. "- are boiled first, then mixed with some broth, vegetables, and meat." He nods, thinking that to be sufficient. "It's called Ramen. I'm cutting the noodles, and those two," he nods his head to the side, where Senku and Gen are cooking. "Are making the rest of the recipe."
Roland resumes his task of softening the next batch of noodles. "Interested to try?"

She looked like a Westerner, and Gen learned on his travels that's what many of them thought of when they heard 'ramen'. "Would you like to try a bit? I hope you're not a vegetarian ..."

"Ramen. All homemade." After he makes a show of it, he gently sets the noodles back down on the floured board. Roland leans against the counter on two hands. "Senku and Gen cooked everything else. Want some?"

His brows go up, paused at the stairs leading to the second kitchen. Decides to call over, "What're you two doing?"
Senku and Roland he knows - the other guy he isn't sure of. But he's curious all the same.

There was a certain satisfaction in sharing his favourite food with people.

"Hey," he greets him cheerfully. "Just helping fulfill a favor." Roland nudges with a shrug of his shoulder; the general direction of Senku and Gen who were busy with a process of their own, like clockwork. "Want a bowl of ramen?"

"...So it seems. But the chances of that--"
Oh. The chances of that are. Better than Ken had thought.
Don't mind him, just going to awkwardly stand in the doorway, beholding the sight of his teammate....cooking?
A dish...from Japan? Or...
....Is his best friend from home, who aims to learn all the flavors of the world's ramen, going to have to expand multiversally?
no subject
"Interest you in some ramen?" A ramen connoisseur might know this to be specifically shoyu style ramen, the noodles are being made handmade, the broth had been as well.
It might technically be multiverse ramen, but it would be typical to Earth.

She wasn't going to take any, truly, but the bowl in her hand quickly becomes a spoon in her mouth. She's not used to red meat and yet...
