OTA - Ramen, anyone?
Who: Senku Ishigami, Gen Asagiri, Roland Crane and open, so very open!
Where: Kitchen
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Senku misses ramen, and so in tradition, he's making some and there's definitely enough to share.
Warnings: Shouldn't be!
Locked to Roland and Gen
Ramen didn't just make itself, and while he could cut a break, it seemed unlikely that Gen was going to leave well enough alone. He was pulling out ingredients for the broth and the noodles and he grinned.
"Glad you could make it." He addressed Roland with a smirk. "Time to pay up." He said with a beckoning motion of his finger. "Come on, I'll teach you how to make ramen."
He didn't know if Roland was familiar with it or not, but most people probably couldn't make it from scratch either.
OTA - Everybody come and eat!
It may not have been their turn to cook, but Senku didn't care because he was the one missing it the most.
The ramen that is being served has a light, brown broth from soy sauce and is actually quite tasty. Gen and Senku have had a lot of practice with substandard ingredients, and so making it with the real thing?
It's pretty decent. They went with shoryu ramen because it was the easiest with the ingredients on hand, mixed with some of the garlic and ginger that they picked up, as well as served with pork - real pork they picked up on the mission, not mystery bear meat.
Both Senku and Gen were helping to serve and dress the ramen, just like they might be at home.
[Ramen free for all, grab a bowl and Senku, Gen or Roland, or any combination of the trio above.]

Eight's eyes grew wide at the sight of the axe. It was a trick that she knew how to do too, but her method would be materializing her weapon from her own ink. Humans... didn't seem like they should be capable of that.
"How did you do that?"

"Roland told me about an item I bought with my points called an arms band. It allows me to carry things in a magic item instead of on my person and since I'm not wearing my belt, I put it in there this morning. You never know when you need a tool."

"It seems useful." She can give it that much. "But weren't you going to sharpen a knife?"
no subject
"It is. I don't have items like this in my world, but it's going to be very useful if nothing else. Sure, I can do that."
He summoned the knife. It was made of a thick stick, a stone blade and some homemade rope. He was going to upgrade it, but he needed it to be sharp first. He summoned another stone and went to run both under water for a moment before setting himself up just out of her space, in case she was still eating.
He started honing the blade with the stone, through targeted chips at the grooves. It wasn't like a steel or iron blade, he couldn't just sharpen it so easily, but his method would work.

Regardless, Eight is taking in the scene before her. The weapons seemed... primitive, but function. She quickly decides that the reason why they were currently being used had more to do with using the resources on hand as opposed to what he would want to use.
But rather than be upset that he took now of all times to sharpen his weapons, she is more fascinated. Don't worry Senku, in time she will start to question the timeliness of doing something like this and give him a quick drubbing to suggest that perhaps later would be more ideal.

That, or he was a mannerless heathen, which was equally possible.
He was focused and skilled, at least, and he would pause periodically to brush his thumb against the blade to decide if he was satisfied yet or not.

Her stomach rumbles again and, polite or not, she decides she'd risk taking another helping of the ramen as she watches.

After a few more moments he tested the blade on his thumb and then put it in his mouth to stop the bleeding. Not the most hygienic reaction, actually, and he knew better.
He returned the knife and stone to the arms band and got up to wash his hands with soap and water instead.
