OTA - Ramen, anyone?

Who: Senku Ishigami, Gen Asagiri, Roland Crane and open, so very open!
Where: Kitchen
When: Horseshoe 17
What: Senku misses ramen, and so in tradition, he's making some and there's definitely enough to share.
Warnings: Shouldn't be!

Locked to Roland and Gen

Ramen didn't just make itself, and while he could cut a break, it seemed unlikely that Gen was going to leave well enough alone. He was pulling out ingredients for the broth and the noodles and he grinned.

"Glad you could make it." He addressed Roland with a smirk. "Time to pay up." He said with a beckoning motion of his finger. "Come on, I'll teach you how to make ramen."

He didn't know if Roland was familiar with it or not, but most people probably couldn't make it from scratch either.

OTA - Everybody come and eat!

It may not have been their turn to cook, but Senku didn't care because he was the one missing it the most.

The ramen that is being served has a light, brown broth from soy sauce and is actually quite tasty. Gen and Senku have had a lot of practice with substandard ingredients, and so making it with the real thing?

It's pretty decent. They went with shoryu ramen because it was the easiest with the ingredients on hand, mixed with some of the garlic and ginger that they picked up, as well as served with pork - real pork they picked up on the mission, not mystery bear meat.

Both Senku and Gen were helping to serve and dress the ramen, just like they might be at home.

[Ramen free for all, grab a bowl and Senku, Gen or Roland, or any combination of the trio above.]

One of the things that Eight appreciated was that there were quite a few intelligent people that were trying to figure out how things worked. While she was not without her own areas of expertise, the realm of theoretical physics was not that realm. With people like Senku here she felt confident that they would be able to unravel those secrets, and she would help however way she could.

Eight's eyes grew wide at the sight of the axe. It was a trick that she knew how to do too, but her method would be materializing her weapon from her own ink. Humans... didn't seem like they should be capable of that.

"How did you do that?"

"Magic." She mouthed. She had never encountered magic before coming here, and wasn't entirely sure how it worked. That lack of understanding made her suspicious. She especially didn't like how magic appeared to work in defiance of the natural laws of physics.

"It seems useful." She can give it that much. "But weren't you going to sharpen a knife?"

The device was a lot like what inklings and octolings did with their bodies when they carried their weapons with them. Perhaps this was how humans did something similar since their bodies were more solid?

Regardless, Eight is taking in the scene before her. The weapons seemed... primitive, but function. She quickly decides that the reason why they were currently being used had more to do with using the resources on hand as opposed to what he would want to use.

But rather than be upset that he took now of all times to sharpen his weapons, she is more fascinated. Don't worry Senku, in time she will start to question the timeliness of doing something like this and give him a quick drubbing to suggest that perhaps later would be more ideal.

Eight is attentive and patient, quietly watching him work.

Her stomach rumbles again and, polite or not, she decides she'd risk taking another helping of the ramen as she watches.
