it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!

Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

Also, if your character would like to dress up, costumes are available for this night only!

Haunted House

A hand from his side reaches to grasp his own and Romeo grins at him. "If we stick together not even the scariest monsters will be able to get us!"

He is sure of it. Even if this was real he would be sure that he and Alfredo could get through it together! But it's just pretend scary and he knows doubly that miss Della won't make anything that would actually hurt them. So he is certain they will get through the haunted house!

Especially together!

Starting at floor one?

Alfredo gives his friend a wan smile, though it switches zap-quick to a frown when a nearby 'monster' groans.

"I'm glad we aren't supposed to fight these things - it's not like a mission," he says, suppressing the urge to instead mention fighting the King's guards.

"No." He looked back at Alfredo with a gentle smile. "It's not like a mission, we don't got to fight anything. I think it's meant to be the good kind of scary."

Which was a bit tricky when they really did have to fight monsters sometimes. "Like the films that are scary or books that are scary."

Alfredo's shoulder relax a fraction, much as Alfredo still looks wary.

"I'm not sure how much I'd prefer scary films over this... but let's keep going, Romeo."

Somehow, being able to move made things easier.

"Okay!" Maybe Alfredo didn't like scary things, even pretend scary things.

But Romeo just grinned at him, reassuringly.

"Yes let's continue!"

The next thing either of them heard were groaning sounds.

And also the sound of someone dragging something large. Furthermore:

"Did- how would something be behind us?"

Alfredo checked behind them, startled.

[myblueskies]

"They can come from anywhere!" He glances around again, wide eyed and then back to Alfredo.

"We best run!"

[hisblueskies]

Yikes!

"Agreed!"

And off they set; Alfredo isn't exactly in a mind to explore this floor.

"Whoa; watch out Romeo!"

Something large was in their path, on the floor! Hopefully they could go around it - if they leaped over it, maybe it would grab them!

"Quick! Go left!"

They could dodge this! Romeo could have leaped over easily but using shinki powers is cheating and also he couldn't carry Alfredo! He wouldn't leave him ever!

And left they went - though Alfredo moderated his pace a little to make sure Romeo got away first.

After that came more creaks and groans (and the sound of chopping wood, for some reason), before he began to feel something in the air shift.

"I think we made it to the next floor!" he said, not sure whether to feel relief or further trepidation.

[myblueskies]

"Yes!" He grinned. "That was great teamwork!"

He nodded at him, "Are you ready for the next bit!"

He was sure they would continue to be a great team!

Alfredo paused, took a breath...

And let it out with a grin. "Bring it!"

The next floor was the mirror floor. What monsters do they see?

Do any jump through the glass?

Oh this one was a bit scarier, Romeo looked at the mirrors as they showed demonic faces. "Let's go quick through here!"

If the didn't look in the mirrors, then it wouldn't be too scary, right?

[hisblueskies]

That was just as well; Alfredo nodded quickly right back at him.

Here, the faces were scarier than the noises... maybe they could locate their way through by sound?

But no; Alfredo shook his head at his own notion before speaking aloud. "I think we go right, here."

The rest of the navigation would be like that; checking for which way didn't have a mirror or monster (or mirror-monster) in it.

"Okay!" Romeo nodded and followed after him, going right, that sounded good!

"Now this way!" He pointed and darted round the next bit of mirrors.

Alfredo followed through and found himself glancing away reflexively; there was some sort of bat creature behind this next mirror, looking very unpleasant!

"I think..." He said slowly, turning minutely first one way, then another.

"Front and to the left?" As opposed to the far left, which also seemed to hold a mirror.

[myblueskies]

"Yes! That's a good way!"

He's feeling calmer now, Alfredo is really smart so he's sure that together they will make their way through the mirrors with no problems!

Up to you what the solution is to this bit! ;)

Meanwhile, Alfredo feels that he in turn can get through this as long as he's not alone...

"What now?"

It seemed there were mirrors on all sides, in this spot - except behind them. Maybe this was a dead end...?

And if it wasn't, then why?

"I don't think there's a trap door in here - do you, Romeo?"

"I don't think so... I don't think they could make that..."

After all all these things were just magic, pretend things. The train didn't have any real trapdoors though...

"Maybe we got to run past the mirror!"

[hisblueskies]

"Like a leap of faith?"

... Well, they did have experience with those.

"We can try it together."

He nods, more firmly than he feels.

[myblueskies]

"Okay!" He nodded and reached out for Alfredo's hand. "After three, alright?"

They would run together!

[hisblueskies]

"After three."

There was a small smile on his face, though it felt tight just now.

"One, two..."

[myblueskies]

"Three!" Romeo kept tight hold of Alfredo's hand as they ran, he looked just ahead as they passed the mirror, not looking at the scary face at all!

Then they were at the other side, no more mirrors!

"We did it!"

Alfredo is relieved to be out of there - so much so that, as he's distracted offering Romeo a high-five, he at first fails to notice that they're in a hospital.

Well. "Hospital" is a better way to describe it.

"That was great, Romeo! Thanks for-"

What he was going to finish that sentence with is never learned, because that is when the sound of footsteps begins.

Romeo high fives back and grins brightly at the praise. Hearing praise from Alfredo makes him very happy, he might not know him very well but he knows how smart and brave Alfredo is.

Then Alfredo's voice stops and there are footsteps. Romeo spins round. Oh.

"It's a doctor..." He looks up at Alfredo. "That's not scary at all... Doctors help people."
