Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

If you insist. [ He won't argue with him, but honestly, he's not sure he's ever been called cute. ]

Are you looking for a reward? [ He arches an eyebrow and smirks before summoning out of thin air one of the mini chocolate bars. ]

[ Clearly something that had to be fixed! Especially with that blush. How was that blush not cute? ]

[ He grinned and giggled behind a hand, before leaning in like he was considering giving him a peck on the cheek. Gen stopped just shy of that, though. ]

Stocking up the Arms Band with candy is a very clever idea, my dear.

[ And he'd take that candy, thanks! ]

But I should teach you how to backpalm candy properly sometime, just for fun.

Did you want company in the haunted house?

Some candy, and I'm not telling you what's in my stash, how else am I going to bribe you with it?

[ He chuckles at his own clever ideas, and he doesn't seem bothered by Gen's proximity. He doesn't even move when he gets close, and he won't stop him from taking the candy. ]

Is this some secret plan to try and convince me your magic tricks aren't trashy? I understand the principles of backpalming, I'm not sure I'm dexterous enough to pull it off.

[ He's musing over that now. ] Oh, yes, sure you can come if you want.

Tricky, tricky, tricky. I suppose I can't complain since the bribes are for me, can I?

[ Gen giggled again. ]

Magic tricks are supposed to be fun, Senku-chan! And I'm sure that your fingers are very nimble and clever when you want them to be.

[ He wiggled his eyebrows at him, and then gave him a tiny peck on the cheek before reaching for his hand. ]

Let's go, then. This sounds like a lot of fun!

[ He snickered at that and he cleared his throat at his flirtatious line ] I could manage, but I'd hate to have you pouting when I show you up.

[ He grinned. He accepted the kiss without complaint and when Gen took his hand he considered it a moment and half shrugged. He supposed he wasn't using it. ]

Fun, sure, it's a haunted house. It's a fake haunted house at that.

[ Gen laughed softly: ] On the contrary, my dear, I'd be proud ...

[ A gasp! ] You mean, there are real haunted houses?

[ He will stare at Gen. ]

Obviously there are no real ghosts. If there were, they would have to leave some kind of a trace that would be able to be replicated, and therefore would be science.

But that's what you said! You pointed out this one was fake, so that implies somewhere there are real haunted houses!

[ He's having so much fun, giving Senku his best bewildered look, like he's clueless. ]

My dearest! The supernatural might not be able to leave a trace on our mortal plane that we can yet measure - you're a man of science! You know you can't simply disprove something. Just think, if you could discover a way to prove that ghosts exist ...

I meant that this is a train carriage, obviously, not like a haunted house you could go to in Tokyo. There are no real haunted houses, because if there were, humans would've figured that out already.

[ He huffs slightly. ]

People have certainly tried and think about it, if you became a ghost when you died, there'd be so many ghosts the Earth would be overrun, plus that's not how science works. The energy that makes up your body has to go back to the Earth when you die.

[ His stare will be a little more intense, honestly Gen that's crazy there are no ghosts. ]

Ah, but there are tons of people who say they've seen ghosts! Some, who claim they can speak to them! So humans are doing some of the groundwork, you see, even if we don't have scientific proof yet.

[ Nevermind that most mediums were complete charlatans. Gen couldn't stand a lot of them, they seemed to be leeches who swindled grieving people out of their money. ]

[ Being honest here wouldn't be funny. ]

[ He was immune to that stare, too, going on obliviously: ]

Surely not every single person who dies becomes a ghost! There'd be a mechanism, a method to it. And you're speaking of the physical energy, Senku-chan - what about the psychic energy?

[ The stare is on full force, it's a stare that says 'I know you're spinning bullshit but it's annoying' ]

Groundwo- [ Senku catches himself with a little hum. ] That's not how science works, and I'm sure you know as well as I do that people like that are fucking morons who are using cold reading - yes, I know what it's called psychology major - to bother people about their departed loved ones.

There'd be- Psychic energy- I can't even begin with you!

[ There is so much wrong with what Gen his needling him with he will take a step with the intent on cornering him against the wall and he will take his free hand and make an effort to just shut Gen up with it. It's not violent or even that serious, and Gen can probably duck it if he likes, but there'd be consequences. ]

[ Gen was mentally filing so many things. Senku knew of cold readings, of course he did. Did he read the same sorts of news stories as he had, before the petrification? Fall down the same wiki holes? There's a lot of conversation he could mine here. ]

[ For now, though, he's having too much fun. ]

Something currently unmeasured, something which corresponds with the soul - something that I can pick up on with my inner eye. I could still read your fortune ...

[ Senku complained, as though trying to quiet Gen with his hand hadn't been a suggestion to anyway, and instead he leaned in and captured his lips briefly enough, hoping to shock him into being quiet.

Without a doubt they'd come back to this conversation at some other time, at random, hen his brain reminded him it was unfinished. ]

[ He wasn't expecting the kiss so he blushed, quite deeply. And, also was shocked into quiet - but not so shocked he wouldn't press back against that kiss. ]

[ That blush didn't go away when Senku pulled back. ]

Oh wow, I need to talk about psychic nonsense more often.

[ He huffs slightly and smiles shyly, ducking his head slightly. ]

If you wanted to get a kiss you should just say so anyway. Come on, haunted house, focus. There will not be any ghosts.

[ But he’d walk with him again, swinging their hands between them, as they head toward the haunted carriage. ]

My dearest, I hope there’s not, because we‘ve had a few too many ghostly images in the train already.

[ He offers a fond, but exasperated smile, that is so not the lesson he needs to take from this because really, it wasn't meant as a reward just some way to quiet him for the time being. ]

Yeah, that's true enough, I think we've all had enough of that.

[ He isn't sure how he feels about his behaviour. Not great, in the end, and it'll be something to reflect on. ]

It's dark in here. [ Senku observed, but it seemed a lot bigger than a carriage. An illusion of sorts? ]

[ Gen was distracted at least by the projections in here, looking around curiously. ]

Of course it's dark, it's easier to sell a trick if you can't see as much. Our brains fill in for information we don't really have, convince us we're seeing things that aren't there. But ...

[ His smile was eager. ]

I think this was managed using some kind of actual magic. Did you hear who was helping create this?

[ It is dark, but his eyes adjust. He has better vision in the dark than he used to when he was younger, it was just a fact of life. ]

I did mean illusions in the sense of magic, since that is a thing here. I wonder how this happened...

[ He'll try and reach out and touch something spooky, a shape with a chainsaw, and clearly it's an illusion because he can't grasp it. ]

Fascinating. No I didn't hear who was doing this.

[ Is he supposed to be scared? ]

[ The appearance of the guy with the chainsaw did make him jump a little, despite his better judgment. A reflex. But he's also stepping close and poking at it alongside Senku, trying to hide how he got jumpscared. ]

I'll need to ask! If these kinds of illusions are something I can learn, my job would be ten billion percent easier.

[ Naturally he wouldn't do anything about it though, he wouldn't discourage Gen from learning magic. He wanted to learn some too. He felt Gen jump anyway, but he would let it go. ]

Maybe there's a way to make it more solid?

[ He hummed and waved his hand through the chainsaw murderer's face for good measure. ]

Hard to say without knowing how the magic works, of course! But there's then little difference between magicking up an illusion from thin air, to creating actual objects, if they were solid. Don't you agree?
