it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!

Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

She blinked, another sigh. Once again she didn't understand.

Owl? Like the animal? Likes the jokes? Owls like these jokes?

She doesn't say anything, determined not to sound stupid as she tries to figure it out.

She sighed again. "Do owls be liking jokes?"

Because she's got nothing. This is stupid.

"Who Who.... like an owl goes....?"

"An owl do be going who who?" She wrinkled her nose, "I did no never be seeing an owl before."

"What? Seriously?" he asked, startled. "Oh. Well... they kind of sound like mourning doves but louder and deeper..." he rubbed the back of his neck. What kind of world were these people from that she and Tidus knew so little about animals?

"Oh." She wrinkled her nose. "Owls do be being good at killing, that do be being what I do be knowing about owls."

There weren't any owls native to Gauig though, so she had never seen one, or heard one.

"Well yeah, most animals are. They kind of have to be."

"Yes." She nodded, "Or they will be starving."

She grinned. "Did you be running out of riddles?"

"Never!" he said cheerfully. "What did the wall say to the floor?"

"Nothing." She frowned at him. "Walls can no be speaking."

Actually in some worlds they probably could. It was the sort of stupid thing that would happen.

"It's a riddle, pretend they could, what would they say?"

[knifewithnoname]

Pretend they could... A wall... Talking to the floor.

"I do no be knowing... I do no be knowing what walls would be talking about."

Even if they could talk.

"They'd say... meet you at the corner!" he said. "Alright then, fine, try this one. What did they hat say to the shoe?"

Oh. That wasn't... Surely they met at all the sides and not just the corner?

Hats spoke too in riddle world? "Something stupid I do be being sure."

"Not stupid, funny," he informed her. "You go on foot, I'll go on ahead!" he delivered the punchline with a proud of himself grin. C'mon, that one was classic, she had to get that one.

Stupid mostly. Maybe a little funny. He gave the answer and she groaned, though she also smiled, a little bit.

"How do you even be thinking of these." Was that all that was in his head? Bad riddles?

"Ah most of these are old ones I grew up on. Like did you hear the one about the ceiling?"

Well no wonder he was weird if this was what he had learned growing up.

"No I did no be hearing any of these before."

"Ah. Well. Never mind, it is over your head. Do you know the one about the jumprope?"

[knifewithnoname]

She scowled, she's not stupid. She would understand it. Maybe. "No I do no even be knowing what a jumprope do be being."

[death_from_above]

He saw the scowl and then her reply. Sigh. Jokes weren't exactly funnier when explained, but he went for it anyway. "The joke about the ceiling. Over your head. Because that's where the ceiling is," he said, pointing. "If we were outside I'd have said sky. Jumprope is a long rope with weighted handles on either side for jumping or skipping over for fun or something. Always looked like too much work to me," he said, shrugging. "Who wants to be fit and in shape? People just expect more from you when you are. Anyway the joke, since you skip rope with a jump rope is 'ah, skip it,' since you skip a jumprope. Get it?"

Up. Ceiling. Right. She gets that one. Jumprope... She wrinkles her nose. "Skip?" Over a rope...

"Do you be meaning like fishing net?"

She's seen kids on the docks playing among the nets, hopping between nets and over ropes. She's not sure about weighted handles but she sort of understands what he means.

So many responses, if only he was Spark. But he was Gar, so instead he looked confused. "A fishing net?"

"Yes." She wrinkled her nose. "Do you be having fishing in your world?"

She can't imagine a world without it. But she is sure that in worlds with space rockets they can't imagine worlds without them.
