A New Platform [Intro Post November]
On the Train
The morning after the Halloween party passengers are once again woken by a familiar voice.
"Good morning passengers, it is day one of the month of Imagination. Points have been updated on the system and new stock is available."
They have indeed and everyone can spend the morning shopping. Those who have been on the train a while will be expecting the second announcement that comes a few hours later.
"Shortly arriving into a designated void platform. Exit from void in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." A lurch and a jolt and they are soon surrounded by the fog that means they are at a platform. But through the fog comes sunshine, causing patches where the light shines down to warm the concrete. Looking up passengers will not be able to see the sun through the fog, or much of the sky at all.
As usual the first to leave the train notice nothing as they walk silently, rucksacks on their backs, towards the barriers. Bryn Pendragon, Bucky Barnes, Colden Rollins, Elena, Fai D Flourite, Jiang Yanli, Juliette d'Aubigniy, Misa, Peter Parker, Samata Mahto, Satou Kuroneko, The Doctor, Tohru Mutou, Zuko, 10 Vigilant Gaze Purges The Horizon. They all walk silently and do not look back as they disappear through the barriers and into the fog beyond.
But on the platform itself there are new faces. Wearing hoodies in all four colours in various states of confusion.
For New Passengers
At first all they can see is steam. Billowing around them as they come to their senses. The second thing they will notice is the thick fog, penetrated by beams of light. As their eyes adjust they will see they are on a platform, behind them are a set of barriers and in front of them is a single track.
They are standing, in clothes that are not their own, styles they might not even recognise. They are carrying a rucksack on their back. For a moment it seems to just be them, alone in the white haze but then the steam begins to fade and they realise they aren’t alone.
The platform is not large and it holds five figures all facing the tracks, all dressed in cargo trousers and hoodies. Both left and right the tracks disappear into the mist. Then there is a roaring sound and out of the fog arrives a train. Jet black with gold writing on the side. The Voidtrecker Express. There is a hiss as the doors slide open and out into the gloom step a selection of people. Some are human, some are less so. Most are wearing the same hoodie in one of the four colours, red, orange, blue and purple though some are sporting different clothes in a variety of styles.
The Train
The doors hiss open. Those from the train may encourage those on the platform to board. It’s not like there is anywhere else to go and even if there was, you feel a pull. A need to board, a feeling that staying on the platform would not be a good thing. If that is not enough, there are plenty of people on the platform now, to encourage them onto the train.
Each ICP shows the same message and next to the screens there are stacks of leaflets written by those on the train, with further information. The store rooms have been restocked and Honey is the newest ingredient, jars of honey stock the shelves and the ICP's in the kitchen have recipe ideas for the month.
A new carriage has been added, those that go to investigate will find a small but function-able spa, complete with a small hot tub and even a steam room. It is a relaxing room with sun lamps and relaxing music or nature sounds available through the ICP. There are a couple of massage tables, with a course for how to give massages for those eager to learn.
New passengers will find their tickets allow them into their cabins. They may need to negotiate for beds, especially if they want a top bunk!
Room is tight but there are storage cubbies at the head of each bed, beds fold up and the bottom bunks double as benches for the small table. There is storage under those benches and you will hopefully find a pillow for your bed if it has not been nabbed by a roommate, there are also spare blankets for if it gets cold.
Departure
A second horn sounds to encourage any stragglers braving the snow and the doors slide shut. Veteran passengers know what will happen next, they may wish to brief their new companions.
The train sets off, the fog obscuring the view as it picks up speed.
"Welcome aboard, passengers of the Voidtrecker Express." A female-coded artificial sounding voice echoes throughout the train. "Please take the time to read the passenger information displayed on the Information and Communication points and familiarise yourself with the layout and emergency exits."
The train begins to tilt, leaving the ground and rising up into the fog filled sky.
"Entrance into Voidspace imminent. New passengers are advised to remain seated. Entry into Voidspace in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."
A shudder, a jolt, a lurch to the left. A flash of light, colourful and blinding. As quick as it happens it is done. The train seems to steady. The fog from the windows is gone now, replaced with a kaleidoscope of ever changing colours.

Yoite | Nabari no Ou | OTA
Yoite stood nearly six feet tall and nearly skeletal as though he hadn't grown into his growth spurt.
He was surprised, to say the least, to find himself surrounded by fog. Had he passed on...?
It would be a rather cruel irony if there was an afterlife, but he would've at least thought he'd know if he died.
No, actually, he could still feel the pain he was accustomed to, so he hadn't died. He did open his bag and look inside for something warmer, and came up with his item from home, a chunky scarf, and gratefully wrapped it around his neck. He realized he had no gloves on. He was quick to put his hands in his hoodie pockets afterwards in time for the fog to lift and him to realize he was with other people.
Yoite took slow steps backwards, as though he were trying to melt into the shadows.
Train
He felt compelled to get on the train, no matter how much he lingered and he was unsure about the crowd of people.
He adjusted his scarf so he could pull his blue hood up over his head and make himself look as small as possible, which was quite difficult at his height.
He would find a seat, in the corner and bring his knees up to his chest, his body language suggesting he didn't want to be noticed.
Cabin 2-D
Yoite will first be trying to open the door by grasping it alone, not really sure about how the machine works.
He might need help with that.
Once inside, he realized he had roommates. He pressed his lips together. He just needed someone to point to whichever bunk was free, and he would accept it.
[OOC: I will match brackets or prose! Please note that he is very nearly completely deaf - if you are not in front of Yoite, he can't answer you, and you may need to get his attention first.]

He lowered the cup of cocoa into the person's view. "Welcome to the train."

Taichi blinked as he took in his new surroundings. What... what kind of place was this? He'd laid down to go to sleep, and now? He was waking up here in some platform in the middle of nowhere. And why was he in these clothes?
Time to figure out what's going on. "Uhm, excuse me," he began, speaking to the nearest person... when suddenly, his uncommonly heavy rucksack (where had that come from?) began to twitch and flail.
"Taaaaaaaaaaaichi!" came a muffled voice, before a pair of claws tore open the bag, and a reptillian snout poked its way out. The dinosaur-like creature took a deep breath, before spilling out onto the ground, landing on his head.
Taichi could only manage "Agumon?!" as he stared at the prone creature before him.
[Departure]
Taichi sighed as he wandered through the train, Agumon close at his heels. By now, he had a sense of just what kind of situation he was in, but that didn't make it any easier. He and his partner were the only ones from his world, and his time, and they were supposed to help save multiple worlds? Needless to say, he felt a bit adrift.
Eventually, he's going to sit down in one of the cars, and just... sit there, thinking. Agumon will, of course, sit down beside him, and look worriedly at his partner as he sits there, getting lost in his own head. Frowning, the dinosaur-like Digimon resolves to get Taichi out of his funk.
But how to do that? An idea pops into his head, and so, at the sight of the next person to happen down their way, he's going to spring up, and wave them over.
"Hey there! We're new here! I'm Agumon, and this is Taichi! What's your name?"
[Sleeper 2, Cabin C] = [locked to bunkmates]
So this was where they'd be sleeping now. That was Taichi's one thought as he stared at the door to the sleeper cabin he and Agumon had been assigned. He took a deep breath, and looked over at his partner.
"Agumon, you ready?" he asked. But there was something that already had the Digimon's attention. Taichi blinked.
"What's wrong?"
Agumon's snout scrunched in annoyance. "I'm not on the sign..." he said.
Taichi blinked again, and then looked at the nameplate. It was true—his name was there, but not Agumon's. Taichi gave a sigh, and patted his partner on the head.
"We'll look into changing that," he said, before shifting his focus back to the door. He gave a knock, then opened the door, poking his head in.
"Ah, sorry to intrude. I'm Yagami Taichi. My partner and I are going to be staying here from now on."

Another new day, another new platform. Tsubomi was determined to be helpful this time, so she'd prepared for it by gathering up some of the pamphlets about the train. Then? She'd carry them around the platform, offering them to anyone who looked like a newcomer.
"H-Hello! I'm Tsubomi! I know you must be very confused, but maybe this pamphlet could help? And uhm, welcome to the Voidtrain!"
Every little bit helps, right?
[Luggage car]
Tsubomi was excited as she stepped into the luggage car. She felt like she'd held her breath the entire time since she saw the notice on the ICP, because she could scarcely believe that this time had finally come.
"Chypre?! Chypre, are you here?!" she exclaimed, as she looked around frantically.
"... Tsubomi? Tsubomi, is that you?"
Tsubomi gasped as a tiny head popped into view, attached to a creature that looked like a fuzzy doll or plushie. Their eyes met, and for a long while, silence hung in the air as tears welled up in both their eyes.
"Chypre!"
"Tsubomi!"
The pair ran to each other (or floated in Chypre's case), and embraced once they reached her. Tsubomi cried tears of happiness as she embraced her partner, holding her as tightly as she could.
There would be time for explanations later. For now, what was important was that they were together again.
... Might be a better place to do this than in the middle of the luggage car on platform day, though.

Huh.
"You two sure seem glad to see each other," she said, managing a small smile for them.
"And welcome to the Voidtrecker Express... Chypre, right?"

"Birds." The curse is hard and harsh, but Eva knows there's nothing she can do to stop yet more friends leaving. It's not something she likes and she knows this will have messed up the council. Never mind Team Leads-
Her hand clenches around the pendant under her hood and then she squares her shoulders, reaching up to settle a red bird -Dancer with a soothing sound. She can think about that later. She has Oranges to greet as it is, and a team to check in on.
And a bird who wants to have a quick flight around the platform.
Departure
"Might want to listen to the warning," Eva says to the nearest person or ten as she braces herself in a seat in the standard carriage, hand firmly keeping Princess on her lap. "Take-off is my least favourite part of this."
It really is if the grunt's anything to go by.
Train - Spa
As soon as she gets the chance, Eva hits the spa with gusto, hair pulled up into a messy bun, and a lime green bikini that really doesn't look good on her. It's not an onsen, but she's not going to complain.
She's far to content in the water for that. "Gods. I don't think I'm going to leave for a while."
Platform (And yes, she can peck him or sit on him and such.)
There are a lot more people leaving than arriving. Had that ever happened before?
... Well, it's not as if he'd be able to know for himself.
He'd make a nice perch for Dancer, though, as he takes in the peeking sun in whatever passes for a sky in this world.

It was so jarring, the sudden emptiness in the back of her mind that sent a chill down her spine. With a sharp intake of breath, Kitty froze, trying to understand what this wrong feeling was. And when she finally understood, she felt something heavy settle in the pit of her stomach.
"Oh no..."
Platform
Though she had suspected that Bucky would be departing the train, seeing it still hurt. She had gotten so used to feeling his emotions somewhere underneath her own, that no longer feeling the presence left a deep void, filled with a strange loneliness. Seeing Peter and a few others she knew also leaving certainly didn't help the growing ache in her heart.
With a shudder, she finally turned away from where they had left, even though they were already gone. With a shake of her head, she started heading back to the train, keeping her head low and wiping at her eyes to keep the tears from falling...or at least from being too noticeable.
Train
While Kitty would normally be trying to help new passengers get used to the train or answer any questions, she was too distracted by the emptiness left behind by Bucky's departure, as if his emotions had just been ripped out of her mind. It was so distracting that she couldn't even enjoy the new Spa carriage, though she had tried to use a hot pool to calm herself down. It wasn't really working.
After leaving the Spa carriage, she mostly tried to keep to herself, not really ready to interact with other people right now. Still, one might still catch her as she moved between the different carriages.
Train
Eva had noticed Kitty's distractedness - and she'd seen her leave the Platform. While Eva couldn't be sure what had brought it on, she had an idea or two.
It was much the same as the distraction she'd seen back home on psychic-type trainers after a loss of a pokemon, and it was to do with a bond, Eva was pretty sure she could at least try and help ease the loss. "Do you have a minute?"

The moment Takato had seen that there was a package waiting for him, he goes running for it. As always, Guilmon is right behind him.
He picks up the box wrapped in brown paper first, ripping through the paper to find the familiar battered metal box inside. A moment later he has the box open and has some of the cards fanned out in his hands.
"Look!" he tells Guilmon excitedly. "They're all here! I even got the spares!" He quickly locates the Wormmon card and puts it aside for later.
Meanwhile Guilmon has started sniffing at the bag. "Takato... This smells familiar!"
Takato laughs and opens up the bag for him, extracting a familiar pair of yellow goggles with blue lenses.
"What do you think? Is it time to put the goggles back on?"
For Webmind:
Later Takato goes in search of Webmind. There was something he wanted to try, and he remembered that he'd promised to tell Webmind first.

Lan Xichen | Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
The long-haired man stands at a notch over 6'2, decidedly awkward in these clothes even while merely still. His cheeks are a little gaunt and pale, but even so, it is difficult to not notice that his (East Asian) features are very beautiful - he is lauded as the most attractive of his generation, after all.
When he does regain proper consciousness, he takes a deep breath to try to understand what is happening - and the entirely alien smells assaulting him make him cough helplessly. The scent of metal is heavy, and so are many others which he doesn't even recognize, choking him - especially after the clear mountain air of the Cloud Recesses.
"What... is this place?"
II. Train arrival
Lan Xichen is not a man given to fear. But such a thing as this - the scale of it is comparable to what he understood must have been the Xuanwu of slaughter. So his already pale face pales even further - it only starts relaxing a little when he sees people - similarly dressed and very much not harmed - coming out. At that point, he tries to step away at the corner of the platform, watching silently and a little wide-eyed.
III. Train
Xichen... wanders. The noise of the travel, the smells of metal and everything else, are all still too overwhelming for him to find a place for peace. Besides, what better way to learn about this confusing thing than see for himself?
Then again, some places are rather narrow. So, if he needs to pass someone by, he will cup his hands with a soft, "please, excuse me."
IV. Sleeper car 1, cabin D
Xichen is... unlikely to be sleeping. He knows his own nightmares, so he is far more prone to sitting cross-legged on his strange 'bed' and meditate. Quiet, a gentle positive energy settling around him.
If he happens to find the cabin unoccupied at some point, he will take out his xiao - white jade vertical flute - and practice. He rather suspects that he might need the music.

(Webmind himself did not need sleep, but could reluctantly admit to himself that if he did, he likely would have nightmares. It's not a pleasant thought in the slightest, but then there was little he didn't think about-)
But the positive energy - and the music - generated by this newcomer catches his curiosity, as he happens to be passing by while the cabin is otherwise almost empty.

Otherwise, Tidus can be found between the kitchen and luggage car, though not jumping between the two places too often. I the kitchen he's trying to figure out where to set up a pasta maker. ...and also rummaging through the stores of the butters and some stored bread. And then there's the promised mini-kitchen to deal with in the luggage car.
Anyone is free to see what he's up to, or help if they know what. Like deciding the best place to put the mini-fridge next to the makeshift counter, and- "The bread'll be fine if we stick it in a trunk, right? Should we make and stick some yoghurt pots into the fridge?"

The last thing Koumyou remembered was pain. Physical and otherwise, standing between his son and danger. Just enough time to give Kouryuu -- Genjo Sanzo -- his new name. Not enough time for much else, as he fell by the same attack he'd watched kill Goudai Sanzo years before.
Blood, everywhere. Pain. His thirteen year old son's frantic voice.
Darkness.
And then, as if to echo what Tenkai Sanzo had seen in him so long ago, light.
Koumyou opened his eyes, and silently observed the fog and the vague, dark shapes around him. Was this part of reincarnation? Some sort of staging ground, before everything reset and started over?
Almost absently, he patted himself down. No blood. Weird clothes. A glance down -- definitely weird clothes. And where was the sutra?
Well, if he was dead, surely it was back in the world of the living.
A set of straps on his shoulders instead of the sacred parchment; some sort of backpack? In limbo? How bizarre. He shrugged it off and crouched down to rifle through the contents, still silent.
--Ah, the sutra.
Koumyou found it among more weird clothing. He stuffed everything else back into the pack, and stood up with the tight scroll in his hand. Seiten, he could tell without having to think about it. That meant the Maten was still with Kouryuu, good.
He slung the sutra over his shoulders where it belonged, and picked up the backpack as the fog started to thin. Whether this was reincarnation or not -- and the sutra being here made him wonder -- there was nothing to do about it now.
May as well complain loudly about the fog.
Koumyou threw his head back and shouted, "It's so cold!"

Koumyou had never been on a train before! It took exactly zero coaxing or nudging to get him onto the big black machine. If anything, it would have taken a lot to keep him off it.
"Wow! I've never seen one in person before!" The priest wandered inside, "Hey, where's the horn? You know, 'choo choo'! It's not a proper train if it doesn't choo choo!"

Well, this was the cabin his ticket said he was to sleep in. May as well take the opportunity to rifle through the backpack a little more thoroughly. And drop it off somewhere, of course.
Now if he could just figure out how the door worked. Standing outside the cabin, he tried to slide the door to the side -- nothing. He pushed at the door, pulled at the door, and then gave up and knocked. "Hello?"

Zechs was gazing out to see if there were any new Red Team members to greet. There weren't. And what was puzzling was - there seemed to be a lot more departures than arrivals, weren't there? He couldn't help but ponder that as he looked out, thinking over the implications.
Surely, it must be the end-goal of at least half of the people on this train to return home. However. Based on the reactions he'd seen from others ... it didn't seem that all of those people departed willingly. He'd seen too many hastily squashed expressions of grief.
He'd be puzzling it over by the door of the car, making the tall figure in red available for anyone to pester.

Zechs would sit and read, thank you, rather than visit the spa. This was relaxing. He didn't need ... he didn't want ... perhaps he'd visit the spa much later, once all the fuss died down, if he could get a moment to himself.
Anyone bookish and shy might be able to strike up a conversation with him in this carriage, as he would finish the detective story he'd been reading - looking over the other titles, trying to make a decision.

One of them was significantly thicker than the others: a blue-covered book by one chief philosopher Voltaire. That one was also on top, and Alfredo looked on it with fondness.

[ It had worked. He'd woken up to an explosion of points, had requested something from the shop, and received it. Now Ken stands in front of an ICP, wrists loose at his sides. He's swallowing, nervous.
At his side, Wormmon looks up. ]
Don't worry. Even if it doesn't work, we're still in a good place.
I know. [ Ken makes up his mind, widens his stance. His elbow snaps up, revealing a black smartphone held in one hand, screen facing outward.
His voice rings out clear. ]

[ Train - Kitchen ]

[ Ken checks on the kettle of water heating up on a hot plate. Based on how long it's seemed since they ducked back into the train between greeting new arrivals, the chill of the fog having had negative effects on Wormmon.....
The kettle whistles. Ken removes it, then fills a cup near where Wormmon sits on the counter. Wormmon carries a packet over, rips it open with his mandibles, and drops in the powdery contents.
Together, he and Ken-chan use a spoon to dissolve the powder. A sweet aroma begins to waft through the air, heading out into the hallway. ]
Even instant cocoa is yummy. Thank you!

[ They have many packets and nearly a whole kettle of water left. And they've just made the kitchen smell like chocolate.... ]

I'd figured an indoor relaxation area wouldn't be able to capture the wistful aesthetic and sense of history of an outdoor bath. But, as if expecting they'd need to compensate, they've embraced a minimalistic style that helps visitors focus on their sensations.
And the sauna--!! [ God, he's so excited. A kid on Christmas morning. ] Steam baths for relaxation date at least as far back as the Mayans (that's three thousand years, according to Harvard Health Publications.)

Alfred's first reaction to a strange situation has always been to freeze and observe, and it's one that serves him... well, probably as well as any, here, and better than some possible reactions. Almost idly, the goblin does a quick pat-down of the unfamiliar clothing he's found himself in. Unfamiliar, but eminently practical, although the sturdy shoes feel odd on his feet. If Rose were here, they'd probably point out that the orange is downright obnoxious with his complexion, but there's no sign of his friend so he figures that he probably doesn't need to take their likely objections into consideration just now.
As the mist begins to lift, it's quickly obvious that the others on the platform are all, if not human, built to a human scale. (He suspects they're human, but sometimes other folk look the part, after all.) It's not an entirely comfortable realization, and the goblin squares his narrow shoulders. Watchful, still, for the moment.
B - Cabin 2-B
Alfred raises a scarred eyebrow at the sign on his assigned cabin door - unnamed goblin. Maybe on some level it's a little reassuring that this bizarre train in running into the same metaphysical stumbling blocks as anyone else who tried to divine his identity would. With a shrug, he lets himself in - one bunk open, which makes things simpler, he supposes. He takes a seat on what is, by process of elimination, his bunk, and sets about investigating the contents of his rucksack.
C - Greenhouse
Alfred knows a greenhouse when he sees one. He's less familiar with the plants in this particular greenhouse, which is fascinating. Not that he'd claim to know all plants everywhere - he's not that arrogant - but he'd like to.
After a moment of considering one of the unfamiliar berry bushes, he pulls the notebook from his gear out of his hoodie pocket and starts carefully sketching the foliage and fruit.

"Excuse me, sir. I'm Alfredo Martini, and this-"
He gestures around and behind himself as best he can.
"Is the Voidtrecker Express. And- this place specifically is called a void platform, but we don't know much about how they work yet, despite having had looks around on the previous ones. ... I'm told being on the train is safer than being on the platform, though I'm not sure how the platforms become unsafe once we leave them."
The worst thing on this platform so far was fog, and even that seems to be dissipating.

More people leaving. Some people always left at every platform, so he'd kind of gotten used to it by now. But that didn't make it any more pleasant. He let them pass by without comment, hands in his pockets; it was useless to try and get their attention anyway.
He stepped out onto the platform after all of them had passed by and looked around scanning for any new faces. None of the ones he spotted were familiar, so he started looking for those who might need a hand.

Well this was interesting. Lea'd never really been to a spa before unless one counted the vacation planet they'd visited awhile back, but this was about what he expected one might look like. At least, if it were compressed to fit in a train car. Either way it was interesting. He wasn't sure how much he'd use it, if at all, but it was good to know it was there.
Kitchen
OK, so Blue wasn't on cooking duty any more. That didn't mean he couldn't check out the latest ingredient and recipes. "Honey, huh?", he said to himself, holding a bottle of the stuff. He wondered if Taiki counted honey as being vegan? He'd heard there was a bit of debate about that, so he'd have to ask.
Either way, he took a moment to scan over the recipes that were listed and tried to recall others he might have come across. At least it was better than the weird lunchmeat.

Normally, he enjoyed heading out to meet new people. It was nice, it was fun, he got to try and make some people feel less terrible about being kidnapped. Not today. Today, as soon as he saw a familiar face among those leaving, his mood plummeted.
"Bucky!" Dyme jogged over to catch up, snagging the man by the arm. "Bucky!" He got exactly zero reaction, no matter how many times he repeated Bucky's name or tugged on his arm, and eventually let go as the man kept walking.
His shoulders drooped and he fought back tears as he whirled, turning away from the retreating backs of those who were leaving. Before he fully thought it through, he turned and kicked the side of the train as hard as he could. He immediately regretted it, yelping as he hopped around on one foot before toppling over onto the ground. He was pretty sure he'd felt something break. A toe, maybe.
"Shit," he swore, gingerly feeling his foot. "Fuck it all."
b. The Train
Normally on platform day he could be found with his guitar on the train, happily playing away. Today he was guitar-less and slouched in a chair, sore foot carefully out of the way so there was no chance anyone would trip over or hit it by mistake.
He offered a weak smile and nod to anyone who passed by and caught his attention, though. He was trying not to be totally lame, but it was hard when he felt lame. He'd known the risks when he'd put himself out there, that something could happen at any time, but it'd felt like a faraway possibility, not something that would happen before he even got a chance to go on a date.
"Maybe I'm the stupid one," he muttered to himself.

He watches as someone tries to stop one of the departing to no avail, returns to the train, kicks it, and collapses. Regardless of whether losing fellow passengers is common, it certainly seems painful, in more ways than one. He approaches his fallen teammate and offers him a hand up. "Perhaps a seat inside will work better."

Aziraphale | Good Omens (show)
At this point, Aziraphale has made it a habit to wait for the train to make its stop in the next platform, and to step outside and stand near one of the entrances. The pattern seems to be about the same every time: the fresh new faces, hazy and then confused, some more alarmed than others, sometimes a myriad of different constitutions; the wave of those who step out of the train and through the platform, unhindered and unstopping, silent, and leave through gates none of the others seem to manage to reach; sometimes, more unfortunately, the sorrow of those who watch the ones they care for depart in such a manner.
The angel just watches it all, offering pleasant smiles to the newcomers that look his way, in hopes of offering them at least some comfort or a word of advice or help, and offering greetings to those who, like him, know full well what is to happen soon.
II. Rest of the day
As soon as the train departs, Aziraphale returns to his usual milling about the day. The library and the kitchen are the most common places to find him - the first, mostly, as he secludes himself in the sadly empty, but well furnished top floor, with whatever tomes and publications he's managed to get his hands on, sometimes sneaking in some tea and a biscuit; the second, well, for the obvious tea and biscuit, and sometimes a stronger drink to share with a certain demon.
But he's also taken to stretch out his legs by traversing the train, as it seems to have been growing long enough that that particular activity doesn't quite feel like a poetic display of monotony and possible insanity.
He stops at the statue garden every so often, leisurely gardening at the works he's now seen several dozen times in grand detail, seemingly lost in different thoughts. He certainly stops in the greenhouse car even more often, making his stop by a particularly exquisite plot, often greeted by a small strange technicolor creature that wobbles out from among the foliage, to which he gives a gentle pat.

"Takato.... Guilmon is hungry again. Do you think the kitchen has any bread yet?"
"Maybe! The kitchen just restocked, so there might be bread now." The boy blinks as he sees that someone was already in the kitchen with tea. "Sorry, are we bothering you?"

Another month, another failure of their campaign for New Games. He'll have to somehow scavenge enough parts to build an arcade and cram it somewhere on his own at this point.
But that's all right. He'll spend the afternoon after arrivals stacking the various board games, once again hunting for and replacing missing pieces. It's an endless process, and he sighs when he finds a chess piece under a beanbag.
"Of course they lost the queen."

Later, he decides to inspect the winning poll option. Sauna, heated pool, massage tables. He might consider using it once he figures out what the off peak times are, and he reaches up to rub his shoulder...the steam does make him think on how stiff he's become.
But there's one thing that immediately sticks out to him about this car, and he resumes folding his arms and frowning.
"No shower? So you'd have to grab a suit, walk half the train, and walk back...of course."

Finally, Kaiba spends the last portion of his day contemplating. Another platform, more lost allies, and very few to replace them. The outlook is becoming grim.
As the void overhead darkens, he writes his list of all the allies they've lost, roughly sketching out a simple memorial concept of painted rocks arranged in shapes.
Then another, of a high shelf with inscriptions. And another, of a flower garden. This is going to be a group project that will probably give him headaches, so it's best to have options to start the discussion.

It's a light accusation, playful. Given how platform days can be for people, he'd rather go for a casual kind of greeting than be too energetic. But there's a smile on Tidus's face regardless, hands in his back pockets as he walks over in Kaiba's direction.

Mami, normally the sweet and kind chef of the group, rushes to the luggage car when new packages are announced. She picks up her package with glee, opens it...ah, just what she needs. A rifle. She'll move to the side to take it apart for inspection, and put it back together with a satisfied grin.
"Much better. Hope we won't get caught off guard again."

Finally, it's cooking time! And with one of her favorite ingredients too! Mami will be cooking at every meal this month despite Purple's large team size, because she intends to enjoy feeding everyone as much as possible.
The warm scents of sweet potato and savory spices fill the kitchen.

Finally, Mami takes a great interest in the massage course. She can be found in front of the screen taking careful notes.
"Mm...it all makes sense! But we need allies to practice with, I think."

But somehow it feels like there's a disconnect between seeing Mami in her magical girl form spamming rifles like it's nothing and seeing her just putting a rifle together regularly in the luggage carriage. Somehow the latter feels a lot more.. serious, no matter how high the stakes often have been in battles where Madoka saw the other girl use her magical powers.
"Ah.. Mami-san," she gently says, trying to catch the other's attention without startling her as she approaches. "Did you order that..?"

[Allen watched as a familiar face left the platform. Unlike all of the other times people have left, this one actually hurts because this one he actually knew.
It was a reminder that once again he was the only one from there, which deep down he was perfectly okay with that. But at the same time, he didn't know what happened to those that left.
So the young man kept quiet and waited until Satou had left before giving a slight sigh before turning to start heading towards the train. He didn't see much reason to stick around the platform after all.]
Gym
[One of the three places Allen decided to go to was the gym. The training was always a decent way to try and clear his head for the most part. Today's training was simple aerobatics, cartwheels, backflips and if he could practice balancing.
Though it didn't seem to help at all as his mind seemed to be on something else instead. But he carried on regardless.]
Dining Car/Kitchin
[The second place Allen found himself at is the kitchen/dining carriage depending on what he was doing. If he was spotted in the kitchen he was preparing meals since it was his teams turn this time. He wasn't doing anything overly complicated, but it was something simple.
Around him Timcampy was flying around and Miccino was helping out and cleaning the area afterward and Popplio was playing with the juggling balls Allen got a short while ago.
A few times each one of them would become a problem Allen had to solve, which was enough to cause the boy to sigh.]
You lot really don't make it easy, do you?
[If anyone were to find him in the dining carriage, they would find him eating, the friends for once seeming calm.]
Game Carriage
[The third place was surprisingly the gaming carriage. Allen had found a game he enjoyed and was currently playing that, using a slightly large golden ball who looked a lot like Timcampy... but it couldn't be right? Timcampy was usually so tiny. But Allen was currently using him as a pillow of sorts]
Gym
All the more reason to figure out which one of her powers will be usable and their weaknesses. She saw everything Thalas can do and her own potential when possessed. He did say he unlocked all of her powers even the taboo ones.
Nike will enter the gym with two buckets filled of water. Upon entering she'll notice someone already training. It was enough to get her eyes to sparkle upon noticing the white hair.]
Oh! You're pretty nimble, huh?
[He was slim, but never figured he had acrobatic skills. Unfortunately, Nike was still slightly self-conscious around Allen, it won't be long until an awkward smile appears.]

Curufin | OTA
Curufin hurries to the luggage car before the train drops out of the Void. His purchases are waiting for him:
(1) His sword from his own world, the one he forged out of meteoric iron and carried through all his wars.
(2) Two large coolers of fresh fish on ice, for Spark Deegan.
(3) Twenty-five jars of peanut butter for Takato Matsuda and his faithful companion Guilmon.
He gleefully collects these treasures and starts to pack them along with him to the Armory Car and the Kitchen Carriage. If he meets Spark or Takato or Guilmon, he'll cheerfully present their gifts to them, or ask where they'd like to store them and help with that task.
Farewell to the departed:
Curufin stands on the platform and watches friends and acquaintances leave by way of the turnstyle and vanish into the fog. He responds as he has for the last two platforms, he waves and calls out his farewells to all. To particular people, those he actually knew, he gives special farewells, attempting eye contact. "Goodbye Bryn! Goodbye Bucky! Goodbye Fai! Goodbye Juliette! Goodbye Misa! Goodbye Peter! Goodby Samata! Goodbye Doctor!" He salutes them all, and doesn't turn away until they have all disappeared. After they've gone, he hunches his shoulders against the chill, glances once more at the emptiness where the departed were a moment ago, and then goes off to greet new passengers.
A welcome to new passengers:
Curufin wanders the platform, greeting any new person who will speak to him, but particularly wanting to talk to new Orange Team members. He's wearing his black jeans, black jean jacket, and black lace-up boots, and this outfit is topped off with an orange scarf to show his team affiliation. It also gives him a Halloween look, even though that was yesterday.
"Welcome to the Voidtrecker Express!" he exclaims, brightly.
On the train:
Curufin walks back through the train in the forward direction, and when he exits Sleeper Seven, he finds himself standing in the doorway of the Spa Carriage. "What. . . ?" He didn't know that this request to the train had been granted, though he had tagged the train feedback page along with other people as regards this needed addition. He looks the place over and hesitates, wanting to jump into the heated pool.
"Shall I just throw my clothes off and dive?" he asks aloud, with a smile. Just like Curufin to make such a joke. He never can resist, though he wouldn't actually embarrass other passengers by doing such a thing.

Curufin will meet a friend or a new acquaintance wherever you like!
On the Train
"How are you doing today?" he asked in a reference to those that had left. He knew that Curufin had been close to several of them. He himself was already missing more than one.

Trunks was near the back, closer to the train. He watched those departing, and really couldn't say he knew any of them more than a face and name. Also watching those who were watching the others leave. Just in case, although he wasn't sure what the 'just in case' was.
On the Train--New car!
Eventually he wandered back to explore the new car. A 'spa' huh? He sort of got the idea, although it wasn't what he'd thought of as a 'spa' based on what his mom often said. She lamented the lack of spas and chances to relax, while the androids rampaged.
Investigating the room more fully, he was doing his best to ignore that he was bright red, realizing this was a room you were meant to be mostly naked in, with strangers. He hadn't even grown up going to public bath-houses, given Capsule Corp's wealth before the android's reign had spread too much.

[stepping off the train feels far different than getting onto it, oddly enough.
while the living situation isn't overly cramped, it feels rather nice to stretch his legs and walk freely across the platform, glancing here and there for new people, trying to see if any of them have the same purple-colored hooded sweatshirt as himself or if he recognizes anyone.
even if neither is the case, sizhui still does his best to look welcoming to any newcomers, as he knows there's a chance he might have to convince them to get on, much like he had needed whenever he'd arrived in this mysterious new place.
once boarded onto the train again, looking for people who could need help navigating the locomotive in any way, shape or form is what he's doing there as well. he remembers being overwhelmed at times despite having initially stepped onto it with his father, but even after parting ways with him, he still found it quite daunting at times.
and let's be real here, lan sizhui is nothing if not helpful! perhaps, if someone gets close enough, he might even softly acknowledge them with,] Are you doing okay? [or:] Can I help you with anything?

[after new passengers have boarded the train, it's gotten back into the void and things are mostly resettled, sizhui decides to head for the car with the ‘movies’ he's heard about. having distracted himself with other things, the multitude of stranger cars included, he hadn't really stopped and given them a proper look-over, but he's got the free time now.
also, why not do something to draw attention away from the ever-present concern of people (some he even knew!) disappearing like they'd never been here in the first place? the cutesy, almost mindless series merry little voidtrain proves good enough at the moment. plenty, actually, given how easily he's sucked in and it's only been a couple episodes so far. lucky for him, nobody else happens by right away during the binge or else there's a chance they'd need to physically climb up to the hammock he's lounging in to get his attention.
he does, however, rise up when a season has ended, the sound of footsteps capturing his attention long enough for him to glance over and greet,] Oh, hello, A-Qing! [before he clambers down, both to see her better and to either switch to the next season or give it up to her instead.]

[So it really was as regular as clockwork, then? An interesting thing, though the particulars of contemplating an otherworldly train schedule were momentarily shelved. There were more important things to prioritize first.]
[A tall and thin man in a long ponytail and blue sweatshirt stood not too far into the train, fingers drumming idly on the silver handle of the black cane at his right side. Standing straight with a calm expression, he seemed to be making a conscious effort to look approachable enough without actually approaching any new passengers when they were sure to be overwhelmed enough as it was.]

But now he watched as another person he knew left the train for good. Elena walked off the train and past the station's barriers without even a glance back at him, just like all the others, but this time it was different. It wasn't like Yuffie or Cloud had mattered to him. They had been from his world but they weren't important. Not to him.
Elena was his one link. A fellow Turk. Someone who mattered. Now she was gone.
Reno absolutely wasn't the moping type. He could tell himself that all day long and it wouldn't change the fact that he was hiding in the training gym carriage with a blank look on his face. Stoic, he would call it. Trying to channel the closed off state that Rude projected so well. He wasn't good at it. Instead he just looked like a kicked puppy sitting in a corner waiting for someone to come pick him up and put him back out in the yard where he belonged. His eyes were distant and barely focused, he looked tired or lost in thought, take your pick, but not very stoic or cool like he tried to be.
He was on the ground, one arm propped up on his knee and the other supporting him, supposedly watching someone use the practice dummies. His baton rested beside him as if he had been practicing earlier or was waiting for his turn at the dummies next.

"This sucks," she said, in lieu of a greeting, and dropped to the floor on the side furthest from his baton. "Big sis was much cooler than half the people left in here."
She'd learned that word recently, and it definitely applied to the Turks. She'd try it out.
