Really big Luggage
Who: Xue Yang and OTA
Where: Luggage
When: Imagination 14
What: Coming from from the dead after the mission
Warnings: Discussions about Death
Xue Yang isn't afraid of dying when it is permanent, but knowing that he would just pop right back up on the train made it even easier. At least he was able to get a good final blow on the jerks that were having their way with everyone from the train. So when he pops open the suitcase he has found himself inside of, he really isn't bothered by the fact that he died on the battlefield. Is there any better way to go?
He stretches his arms up, trying to work the stiffness from his body and checking to see if any of his wounds from the fight are still going to bother him. Even though he died, he hardly expected to come back completely healed. Perhaps this is the way to do things. No real recovery time. Just back to normal! He does feel a little soreness where the shrapnel had gone in so he will have to make sure there is nothing remaining there. But his spiritual energy is back and feels fairly good considering...
There might be a small pout as he realizes that his clothing unfortunately still has the blood stains and the damage it sustained while out on the planet. He had given up precious candy for these robes. Perhaps he can find someone who will take care of it.
He pushes himself up and out of the suitcase and looks around the luggage car. He really has only been in here a couple times. He doesn't generally order things and this is his first time dying on the train. It's a curious place to wake up in. He starts towards the exit of the car. Might as well continue with his day.
[ooc: feel free to encounter him in the luggage car, or in the hall heading back to his room.]

When he hears that familiar voice, he sits up quickly. Xingchen shouldn't be able to enter his room without him opening the door so he is taken by surprise.
"Doazhang..? What are you doing here?"
no subject
Upon hearing his voice, he turns his head over in surprise. "Xue Yang? What are you doing here? How did you get in? This is my cabin room." He looks perplexed, considering no one can enter without their ticket as the key.
"Did you come to see me...?" He had been waiting considering he haven't heard of him for a few days since they returned from the planet.
no subject
He walks to the door and goes out of it to look at the car number. This is definitely Xingchen's room. He walks back in still very confused how he got there.
no subject
He remembered he has taken naps before, and he end up in the same place, back in his assigned cabin, because the train just works that way.
He tilts his head. "Xue Yang, I have an idea. Can you check your ticket...?"
no subject
"What is going on...my cabin has changed to this one." His eyes widen slightly and he looks up at Xingchen. A grin spreads across his lips as he realizes that this means he will get to stay with Xingchen all the time. Perhaps this is a reward for taking down the bad guys.
no subject
If Xue Yang looks around, his belongings or what's little of it were transported too. "That means a big change for you. But I heard what happened." He sat on his bunk bed and pats on the side.
"Can you come and sit by me? How is your injuries? I was worried."
no subject
He's definitely had worse so it doesn't bother him at all. His recovery like this is much easier then if he had simply given up and escaped. He wouldn't change anything he had done.
no subject
With a sigh of relief, "Nevermind what happened. I was only upset because you had me worried and I thought the train would have left you behind. I didn't want that. So...I'm glad you came back." Broken in the inside perhaps and he prays it's something he could heal and fix, but he's still in one piece.
In a softer tone, he blindly reaches for under the bunk bed to feel the soft toy and bring it up in his view. "Look, what I have for you."
He places the plushie fox doll on his lap. It's a black fox with tinges of grey in it's fur and pointy ears.
"Tell me, it is a fox that I asked for...? I hope it looks like you."
no subject
He looks down at the fox in his lap, a surprised expression on his face. He picks it up and looks at it, studying the expression on the toy and running his hand over the soft fur.
He laughs a little, "You think I look like a fox, daozhang?" He is amused but also touched that Xingchen would get him a gift.
no subject
"I would think so. I haven't seen foxes and red pandas in ages, and I'll probably never will again. But...nevermind. Do you like the gift?" He was hoping the present is a nice thing to have upon returning. "It's yours."
no subject
"But yes I do like the gift. Anything daozhang gives me I will take good care of." Like that little piece of candy he still carries everywhere with him. It was the only thing the train let him bring with him from home.
no subject
"That's good. Are you sure you're not injured?" Though his question has a different meaning. "Not even here...?" He blindly reaches for him, hand on his shoulder, then wanders over his long hair, then wanders over his chest to place a hand above where his heart is.
"You over-exert your spiritual energy, haven't you...? If you're going to go on missions again, you should meditate with me when you could and work on your core."
He presses gently to send a bit of his spirit energy to his core, a spark of gold light energy to mend whatever trauma he has in his soul from the battlefield and piece together.
no subject
He feels that healing energy and he reaches up to carefully grab Xingchen's wrist. "You don't have to worry about that so much, Daozhang. I have plenty of time to heal before the next mission. You'll need your energy for whatever it takes to heal from your eye replacement."
no subject
He doesn't mean to give him too much spiritual energy. Just a bit of warmth, a bit of light to share with him, just a spark, because he remembered he said he's the light to pull him from the darkness...and he realizes this is now true.
"I really don't plan to have my vision back. It was a surprise plan, but for my nephew's kindness and for you, I am hoping to see you and everyone for the first time." There's a chance that the transplant won't be successful, and he'll feel the pain of it, but he knows he'll survive whatever the outcome.
He lowers his hand, "You can rest here. You earned it. It's quiet here, especially at night. I appreciate the silence when I meditate to help myself go to sleep."
no subject
"I'll make sure to sleep with my present every night." He holds up the little fox and looks at it again. He's never really had a toy before. It is interesting that Xingchen is the first person to give him candy and now a gift like this.
no subject
It's the first, and he's hoping a gift and a new place to stay will encourage him.
He can hear the happiness in his voice, it's almost cute somehow. "Mm. Be good or else the train might change its mind. I heard it's sentient, so I wonder..." He trails off, feeling his heart flutter. "I wonder if it heard my prayer for you somehow."
no subject
"You said a prayer for me, Daozhang?" He tilts his head as he looks at him. Curious as to whether he wished him to come back.
no subject
How curious is he for wishing him back? "I did. Didn't you get my message..?"

With a quiet huff, “You kept it? You really are a cheeky imp. Do you realize that I’m deeply upset? When you died, I thought your body is left on the planet and I already boarded the train. I don’t want anyone left behind including you.”
With a nod, admitting his surrender. “But you returned so I’ll keep my promise to make you that cake.”
A pause, a beat. His heart racing as another emotion rise. “I’m glad you returned. Despite what everyone said about you, I don’t care. I’m glad you’re back A-Yang.”
So turning to him, barely a whisper, expecting, wanting and desiring. Feelings he doesn’t want and shouldn’t have for this wicked gremlin of a man. “So if you want, you can kiss me. But only if you miss me a lot. If it’s little bit or if you just care, then you can hold me instead.”
no subject
He sets the doll next to him on the bed and reaches out to place a hand on either side of Xingchen's face. "Really daozhang? That's really what you want?" He doesn't want the man to change his mind, or to push him away if he really does go in to kiss him. But his hold on the man's face is gentle so if Xingchen decides to pull away then he can do so.
no subject
"There's no going back. I heard there's some children crying on the platform today, because a loved one has gone home. I was thinking that's how you felt and I'm beginning to understand. It's lonely and heart-aching." There is sadness and he refuses to cry, admitting the mistake he's going to commit, "Maybe Song Lan can forgive me. And you wouldn't blame me anymore. Should one of us go to the platform..." A pause. "But I have no plan to do so...I can only hope we meet again in the next life."
Ah, that's depressing, given their past. "So, sure. I want it and I want you too. We have a lot of work to do, but if we work together, maybe we can rebuilt the future if you want one with me."
no subject
His hands drop down and he wraps them around Xingchen, drawing him into a hug. Holding him tightly but not so much that the man might want to push away.
"Then what I want is to wait. I want it to be the perfect moment, daozhang. Because I want to kiss you more then anything..but that's also why I want it to be the right moment."
Waking up in his room, coming back to the train after dying..the pain that caused Xingchen..this is now the right time. It's the shock of almost losing someone that is driving his desires and that isn't what Xue Yang wants. He wants to prove he isn't going anywhere.
no subject
This is the validation he needs that he felt relieved. "So you do care about me, miss me, and want me. That's what I wanted to know."
Quietly, he nuzzles on his shoulder and on his hair. "Xue Yang, I'm blind. I can wait here all day, not going anywhere, and I will not do my chores not until you kiss me because more than anything, that's what I want you to do. Kiss me and make me do nothing but stay here."
no subject
He is very capable of playing that game just to see if Xingchen will follow through with that statement. He continues to hold him, happy to finally be able to do so.
