New Rooms! Day Twelve
Finally, after the evacuation is over it is time to board the train once again. As the doors close and they shudder out into the void the familiar voice speaks.
"Welcome back Voidtreckers. Well done on your successful mission. There has been a small accommodation change so please all check your tickets to ensure you find the correct cabin."
Indeed some passengers may have already tried to enter their rooms to find they cannot. If they check their tickets or the passenger roster they will find their room has been changed.
Anyone who has moved cabins will find that any things they did not take with them on the mission have been moved from their room and are packed neatly in a suitcase in their new cabin.
Time to greet your new roommates and start the negotiating for top bunks all over again.

To the library question the advisor nodded. "I'm more than happy to help you out, especially with one of those." A library and books would give him more time to read as well. If books lived on the train, who knew what recipehs he might find and other 'romance' novels he could 'happen' to come across.
Spending more time with his boyfriend of course made Ignis infinitely happy. It would also give him plenty of opportunity to check on him and keep an eye on him just in case something happened. Of course there was food and..that other thing they'd have to try and figure out now that there were ladies in the room. So taking the time to investigate other places was definitely worth it.
But his main objective besides spending time with Tony was to find that particular ore.

And no, Tony hadn't the slightest idea the advisor was doing anything but being OCD. His best guess was after a mission like this Ignis might be feeling starved for some control in his life and Tony was happy to give him something to focus his mind on.
"I appreciate it. I've been purchasing some books from the train and I know others are too. It would benefit everyone to have more on hand." He sighed. There would always be the risk that someone could come and not return the books whether it be intentional or not.
"I'm assuming it'll be too awkward for you to use the 'sock on the door' method of keeping the girls out when we need privacy, right?"

But he refocused on the library project which sounded like a good idea. And he would invite Raven in on it too since she might appreciate doing such a thing. Besides, it would give them more time to spend together and he did want to teach her how to dance as a payback of sorts for her invaluable assistance with Madoka.
"That it would." Pushing his glasses up onto his face with two fingers, his eyes met Tony's in a disapproving sort of look for that last question. It didn't even deserve a verbal reply.

Or most things, she heard the announcement and wrinkled her nose curiously. Had she been moved? She checked her ticket but no, her room was the same. She got to the door and read the screen outside. Ignis.
She scanned her ticket and entered, blinking when she realised Ignis and Tony were already there.

He got up and reached out to ran a hand affectionately along Ignis' bicep with the hand not already in the advisor's. He had almost, almost, gotten close enough to Ignis to kiss him when the door opened. Stepping back quickly, he let go of Ignis' hand and arm and saw Buttercup enter the room. He was torn between feeling glad to see her and irritated he hadn't gotten his kiss.
Rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, he tried for as casual of a smile as he could muster. "Hey, welcome home, kid."

Turning to look at a familiar face, he couldn't help but smile. Ignis had begun to think of this one as Tony's daughter even if in reality she wasn't. Still, he was happy to see her all the same.
Thinking back on the inspectors and what Tony had said about their effect on her ran through his mind. And now he was here to protect all of them, especially his mate and this little one. None of that showed on his face as he nodded, relieved to find her well after this last mission.
"Welcome back."

"Hello. Do you both be being alright?"
Manners were important. She unshouldered her rucksack and pushed it up onto her bed before sitting down on the floor and tugging off her boots. She still hated them, but she was glad she had worn them on that mission.

"Very well. We're just surprised about the new arrangements. I wonder who else was moved." His gaze shifted to Ignis and he smirked at him. "I had thought I might be annoyed if and when someone dared come and take Ash's spot, but I suppose I'll give you a pass. You make me dinner sometimes so it's the least I could do."
no subject
And then Tony started running his mouth. He got a firm look for his comment about Ash and got his clothes together for a shower he planned to take alone at this point. The bunny was still a sore spot for him, recalling how Tony had called her an eleven on a scale of one to ten. But Ignis never took point with it. However, there were times like this when it rubbed him the wrong way.
A fake smile faded quickly as he settled his things in. The faster he got that done, the faster he could take a shower and figure this out.

Boots off she clambered up onto the top bunk that she had claimed as her own, she began unpacking, tugging things out of her rucksack. She kept her eyes on Tony and Ignis though, she had noticed the way Ignis had stopped smiling and got a stern look in his eye. Did he not like Ash? Or maybe he didn't like that Tony was telling him he could stay here in exchange for making dinner.
"Mister Stark did no be meaning it. He can be cooking for himself, he do be being good at it too."

Before he could think of what to say, Buttercup in her adorable innocence was defending him. It was so sweet and he gave her a smile. She was getting a present soon. He wasn't sure what but something. Didn't they have stuffed animals in the train store? Was she too old for that? He'd ask Peter.
"Thanks, Buttercup. What kind of cookies do you want next?" He asked. "Are you tired of pumpkin yet or would you like to try some pumpkin cookies with icing on top?" It was an old fashioned recipe, but it was tasty and he was sure if he made it once for Ignis the other man would make it even better. Speaking of the advisor, he moved to lean against the door frame. He stayed to the outside of it though, so if Ignis wanted to move back and forth between the rooms he could. "Are you alright, Tiger? You know I was just kidding. I'm really glad you're here."
no subject
The older man got a polite nod in response, nothing would be discussed here. "I'm fine of course." He appreciated his mate staying out of the way, because it allowed him to move swifter to get his goals accomplished. It was interesting to hear Tony offer to bake for Buttercup, but it was just adorable to see the parent come out at the most unexpected times, personal thorns aside.
There wasn't much else left to do and then Ignis was hitting the shower alone.

Tony called Ignis Tiger though, she wasn't sure why but maybe Tony named everyone he liked.
She watched silently, making her unpacking as quiet as possible, to fade into the background.

"We both know I'm going to annoy you until you say something, so you might as well get it over with."
no subject
"You're free to annoy me of course if that is indeed how you see it. I have a shower to take and then I'm heading to the kitchen."
He intended to make cookies for his new roommates and it would be a good way to relax and do something productive instead of stay here and fuss with Tony. He too had noted the little girl not reply to Tony at all, which was unusual so he'd leave and allow them to chat.
The advisor finished his sorting and gathered up his things, turning to go. "Now if you'll both be so kind as to excuse me, I'm going for that shower now."
no subject
She would have to investigate further. She watched Ignis leave the room then turned her gaze to Tony, tilting her head.
She could imagine why someone would get angry at Tony. She got angry at him too but held it down, it was dangerous anger because it could spark Tony's anger. She hadn't seen Ignis angry, she imagined she'd barely seen Tony angry. What would happen if they blew up at each other?
It might be dangerous to be in the middle of that. But also interesting. To see what happened when they both got angry, especially if she wasn't the cause.

He hoisted himself up on the opposite top bunk from her, now his spot. He had an annoying amount of stuff to sort through now that he had to pull everything out of his cubby hole. "Think it might be time for another party? We didn't get a post-mission celebration like we did the last time."
no subject
He regretted her presence only in the fact that he had an issue to take up with Tony and of course he wasn't going to air any grievances with her present. And he noticed something. While he was taking a shower, normally Tony would come in, but now he wasn't. It was rather interesting to note. Was he afraid of what Buttercup and Eva would say? Tony hadn't sounded that mad if the pain in the ass comment was anything to go by. The tone had been playful, and dare he say affectionate.
Did that mean that he had no plans for them to sleep together even? It was an interesting puzzle piece, so the advisor hurried with the shower and came out later, dropping off his stuff. His green eyes stared hard up into Tony's on his perch for a moment but then he abruptly stopped the intense stare, and headed for the kitchen.

She paused as Ignis came into the room, watching him as he stared at Tony. What was his problem? What was he angry about?
She was quiet a moment after he left, thinking.
no subject
He grinned at Ignis when he came out of the bathroom, Tony's feet dangling off the edge of his top bunk. When the man didn't say anything, Tony swatted him with a pillow when he got close enough. "Hey! Tiger, what do you think about a post-Hell World party? Think you'd be up for that?"
no subject
Looking back over his shoulder before leaving the room, his gaze returned to Tony's face. "If that's truly what you want to do to do then by all means have at it."
And then Ignis left.
no subject
She wrinkled her nose at him and looked back at Tony, raising an eyebrow.

Hopping off the bed, he gave Buttercup a mischeivous grin. He holds up a hand to help the young girl down. "Let's go make him feed us."
no subject
Or maybe he didn't like her very much, but she had never gotten that impression before. He had made her food and always spoke kindly to her.
She took his hand and jumped lightly from the bed. She wasn't sure that was the best idea, but she also wasn't going to argue.
no subject
As they followed Ignis to the kitchen- whether the other man knew they were coming or not- he decided to try his question again. "You didn't answer me about the cookies. There are lots of different kind, so which one would you like next?"
