it's halloween, lo-ween, everybody!

Who: Everyone's Invited!
Where: Various decorated carriages!
When: Horseshoe 31.
What: Della is hosting a Halloween party! Come for treats, tricks, and trouble!
Warnings: N/A, will update it needed.

The room is dark…why aren’t the lights on? But as the doors fully open, a voice begins laughing darkly…

… although if you’ve ever heard the voice of Della Duck, you’ll recognize her immediately.

“Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange?”

Suddenly there’s a big THUD as someone drops from the ceiling, the lights flash on, and Della herself, dressed as a zombie – ripped apart clothes, fake blood here and there, drawn on scars - wiggles her fingers before laughing joyfully. “Happy Halloween, everybody! Let’s party!”

Tasty Treats

A big buffet table of candy and punch has been laid out! Mini chocolate bars and multi-colored lollipops, gummy worms and candy corn, all sorts of sweet and sour shenanigans, ghost-shaped cookies and mummy-looking muffins! There’s plenty to eat, with absolutely no healthy alternatives.

There are also small wrapped bags of candy with the letters “T.o.T” written on them. If someone tells you, “Trick or Treat!” you have to share your candy! Or keep it to yourself, you monster.

Haunted House

Thanks to Seto Kaiba’s projections, a neighboring carriage has been converted into a Haunted House! While it’s all a trick on the eyes, it gives the illusion that there are several floors of spookiness. Each floor has a different theme –

#1 Serial Seriousness – Every so often, a masked intruder pops out at you, with long claws or chainsaw, ready to give chase! Be careful, or you’ll be the next victim!

#2 Zombie Zaniness – Moans and groans of the undead can’t be unheard. Rotting arms will try to swipe at you through the floorboards!

#3 Ghostly Games – You can see through them, and they can see you too! Each mirror reflects a different dastardly demon!

#4 Deadly Doctors – In this hospital, it’s not the awful health insurance that’ll kill you! Beware the bloody nurses and their extra big needles!\

#5 Fishy Fears - … Wait, what? … Okay, this last floor was clearly designed by Della. It’s like Under the Sea, but with sharks and octopi and kraken - and Della insists this is the worst floor.

Feel free to have your characters braving the house, or trying to scare people within!

Dance Floor

If being haunted isn’t your thing, nothing wrong with getting your groove on! Ask DJ Della what kind of song you’d like to play, and she’s happy to put on the list, from a classic Monster Mash to something more somber and soulful for you slow-dancing-romantic-vampire-types.

Turnip Carving
… Look, they didn’t have pumpkins. Anyway, you’re encouraged to carve scary and silly faces in these veggies! There is a contest, but everyone will be a winner, from “Most Realistic” to “Most Depressing” !

Movie Mania
Kick back and relax – and be horrified – at the otherworldly horror films! Like the horrific monster mime, “That”, the relentless umpire-mask wearing killer, “Monday the 20th”, and the endless array of the undead, “Midmorning Of The Not Wholly Alive”!

Some of you awful people might be thinking of popping up and scaring the theater-goers and this is /winkwinknudgenudge/ totally not approved. /plausible deniability/

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
In one secluded, quiet, and verrry dark carriage, lit only by candles, here you are encouraged to tell the scariest stories you can think of! What eerie legends will you share from your world, or do you dare to make it up as you go along?

Make your own top-level, and happy haunting!

Xue Yang | The Untamed

Candy
Xue Yang is very confused by this party. The idea that he should be scared of anything that the various haunted cars are trying to scare him with is preposterous. None of these dead are even remotely scary or look anything else the dead he was used to playing with. And so he gave up on the haunted house and went instead to the treat table. Because if there is something he can enjoy..it is candy.

He currently makes his way through the various types of treats on the table. Trying one of everything so he an see which of them is his favorite. And when he figures it out he will certainly be helping himself until someone tells him otherwise.

Movie Mania
He doesn't know what he is watching, but his feet are propped up on the chair in front of him as he eats some popcorn. Their definition of zombies is very strange but he is watching it regardless. At one point he rolls his eyes as the 'hero' of the movie makes some rather dumb decisions about how to get away from the creatures chasing him.

"Does no one on this world understand the importance of having a sword when dealing with the dead?"

Random Corner
When Xue Yang gives up on the movie, which has done nothing but annoy him with how inept everyone in it is, he finds a random corner and simply settles in with a bag of candy to snack on while he watches everyone else.

He was sitting in one of the seats with a bucket of popcorn and candy sitting on his lap with a large cup of soda. Mostly chocolate, gummies, and kettle popcorn. He can't say he's a fan of horror movies.

He wasn't watching per se. He was listening. It's something he used to, trying to enjoy a movie by listening and rely on his imagination in his mind. "Oh, Xue Yang? Are you here and watching too? It's a predictable plot."

He turns his head slighty when he hears Xingchen's voice and notices him a couple seats away.

"Be glad you can't actually see it daozhang. This movie is dumb." Or at least the people in it were dumb. Cultivators would have made a better movie then this.

He nibbles on his snacks, feeling the rush of chocolate and sugar. He turns his head to where he thinks Xue Yang maybe sitting.

"Well, it's a strange story and unique in its own way. Unless you know of a better story than you wanted to share."

[xue_yang]

He shakes his head, "You've heard all my stories." And the others aren't worth telling without making him seem like an even worse person then Xingchen already thinks he is.

He munches quietly on his own popcorn as he continues to watch the screen.

"I heard from many people. Not much from you, but if you don't feel like telling stories, it's fine. I don't many myself other than a few buddhist and daoist sutras, but you may those boring."

With the movie finished, he sat until the end. Snacks and drink, it's gone as he ate it all. Then he rose up and blindly search for the exit way out.

He stands up and follows, reaching out to help Xingchen to the exit since the hadn't been too far apart. "I already know those stories are boring."

Xingchen was never very good at telling stories and so it had always landed on him. But all his stories were based on his life. He didn't feel the need to tell any more of those.

He was surprised Xue Yang is willing to help him find his way to the exit door. Once he heard his footsteps and the door opens.

"The door is open? Thank you." He gives a nod. He'll be heading his way to the library then since he can't do anything much else. He can't cook. He can't see the plants in the garden. He can clean but he needs someone to help him see and give him assistance to clean up his bed and do the laundry.

"I'll be heading to the library now if you want to join me." But it's up to him if Xue Yang wanted to head elsewhere.

"If you join me, I maybe able to tell you an interesting story. And it's not about Daoism."

[xue_yang]

"You aren't going to the party, daozhang?" There are more people that will be happy to see Xingchen then there are that would be happy to see Xue Yang at the party.

"I don't mind going to the library if you aren't."

Candy

"If you keep eating that, you'll get a stomach ache." Senku offers as a piece of advice.

He does take one of the trick or treat bags and with a wave of his hand it vanishes into his arms band, for future bribing needs.

Xue Yang looks over and watches as Senku makes the candy disappear. He hadn't considered hoarding it for later and so he reaches out and takes one of those, tucking it into his robes and into the little bag that makes things disappear in a similar manner. He has felt so much more like himself now that he has his swords concealed in it and black robes like from home on his body.

"A stomach ache from eating too many good things only seems worth it. But I think I can handle it."

He has never seen so much candy in his life and so he can't help but feel like indulging in it.

"I'm not used to such a variety."

"I suppose that makes sense. Someone around here really likes sugar." Senku remarked dryly. He might've taken the bag, but he was leaving the rest of it alone.

"Well even if you get a stomach ache, you'll survive so there's nothing really to worry about. That or you'll get a sugar high and get really hyper which could be interesting."

[xue_yang]

He pauses just before putting a couple more pieces of candy corn in his mouth, "Sugar high? Does that really happen?"

Xue Yang isn't sure that he would be capable of being hyper from sugar but he isn't going to stop eating it just because he might.

"Nah." Senku chuckled, shaking his head. "But you'll feel a lot of energy and crash down later. There won't be really any long term effects to binging on sugar once in awhile either. It's an expression."

He could explain sugar's effect on the body, but with surprising insight, he doesn't think Xue Yang is really asking that.

"People are usually hyper because everyone else is around them and it's a festive enough setting, that kind of thing."

[xue_yang]

"I guess we will have to wait and see if it has the effect on me." He tosses a few more candy corn into his mouth and then looks at the rest of the candy.

"Which ones do you like the best?"

Senku seemed to be taking the question seriously, looking over the spread as though he wasn't sure what to decide, because he wasn't.

"I guess if I had to choose one, the sour ones." Senku responded. "I'm more of a salt kind of guy, I don't eat much sugar."

[xue_yang]

He reaches out to try some that look sour. He doesn't mind giving all of them a try and he imagines he will like the sour ones just as well.

"I don't really understand this holiday but I don't mind the fact that it involves candy."

Candy

He is particular about his treats and thus he hasn't partaken of many yet. However when he sees Xue Yang, he lets himself get into the spirit a little bit.

"Chengmei..." Meng Yao positions himself beside the other man, his eyes twinkling as if he knows a grand secret, "Trick or treat."

Will Xue Yang be willing to share?

Xue Yang quirks his eyebrow up as he hears that little saying that means he is supposed to share his treats. He had just been about to unwrap one of the little bags to see what what concealed inside. He turns to the other and smirks a little as he dangles it from his fingers.

"What kind of trick will you do if I don't give you a treat?"

[ayao]

His costume for the evening is that of a fox. He is wearing his robes, so silver and bright, with a pair of fluffy grey fox ears on his head and a fluffy grey fox tail hanging over his backside. The tease has him narrowing his eyes and he looks very much like a put out fox!

"I may bite you."

[xue_yang]

"Sounds more like a promise then a threat." Xue Yang definitely did not dress up and so it amuses him to see the other in a costume. It is certainly fitting.

[ayao]

"You're not playing along."

When does he ever? Meng Yao pouts nonetheless, tilting his head so that the ears are especially pronounced.

"Fox teeth hurt, you know. If they bite hard enough."

[xue_yang]

"You say that like I'm not used to pain." He rummages around in the little bag of candy as if looking for a piece that he would be willing to part with.

"How am I supposed to play this game?"

[ayao]

He places a hand on his hip and tuts.

"You can't even part with one piece? Now you're being greedy, Chengmei, and that means you will be punished."

A ridiculous notion considering where they are and what he looks like. But. Still.

"I'll let you feed it to me."

[xue_yang]

He pulls out a wrapped piece of chocolate and sets the bag down, taking his time to remove the wrapper so that he can deal with his punishment. Not that he sees it as punishment at all.

"I suppose I can deal with the punishment. But what happens if you don't like it. Am I going to have to endure punishment again?"
