Falling fast asleep, may this little boy find blissful dreams.
Who: Allen Walker and anyone
Where: Music Carriage
When: Grasshopper Day 28
What: Allen pondering on what went on in the last world; a reminder of what might or might not happen. So he is making a choice. To speak or not to speak?
Warnings: Mentions of death are likely.
Allen very rarely came into this room, mostly because he wasn't the kind to actually want to play an instrument. But today was a rare exception as he sat at the piano, his fingers lightly touching the keys and making the occasional noise from it. It didn't seem like he was really playing it beyond that.
That was because he wasn't exactly planning to at that moment. Instead, he was thinking about what had just happened, that third memory had been something he had forgotten in the back of his mind since he had gone to Genessia. After all, he never showed signs of Nea around, so he wasn't there. But at the same time he still had the memories technically. So what did that mean?
He knew, either way, he needed to figure it out and so he placed his finger lightly on the keys and started to play a little tune. It was a reminder of the memories that he had, those that were meant to take over someday and when that does...
Shaking his head he stopped if for a moment. He knew deep down he wasn't going to let that happen, he knew he was and he was sure as hell that he was going to stay that way no matter what. But then it brought up another question. Should he tell people? After all, a complete stranger knows so...shouldn't those that he was close to knowing to?
With a small defeated sigh, he played a few notes again before once again starting with the tune again.

But then she spots just who is sitting there at the piano and playing music to begin with. And that does make her pause. She hadn't spoken to Allen ever since that whole incident with the memories on the island the train had stopped at.. She hasn't spoken to many people, in fact.
Alice can't help but wonder what Allen saw though. Or how hard he was taking the whole thing. It would be just like him to keep it all to himself rather than talking to someone about it, so..
She ends up approaching him. Alice waits while he plays, only speaking up when there's a break of silence.
"Allen."

"Alice, hey. How are you?" He figured probably not great considering what seemed to have happened with the memories. The thing he was still thinking on a little too much.
"The island sure was something, huh? Memories and all."
no subject
.. though she does think she got out of that better than most. Sure, the process itself was a little.. messy, but it could have been much worse, if the person she would have shared those memories with was different.
Like Allen, she thinks as she looks at him. Would he similarly not have judged her for her actions if he had seen her memories? She can't be sure.
She nudges the thought aside, properly walking over to him now she's got his attention.
"How are you feeling?"

But Allen was also good at wanting to lie, but with someone, he barely knew knowing, would it be a good idea to continue to say nothing to those he was actually close to.
So he played a couple of notes before going quiet again. "I'm feeling...I don't know actually."
no subject
Alice curiously raises an eyebrow and finally stops walking when she's by his side.
"You don't know? And why is that?"
She figures it may have something to do with everything that happened on the island, considering how intense that must have been for everyone.. But she can't be sure, so she might as well ask.
no subject
But he knew he couldn't keep ignoring it either and pretending that things are okay. What happens if something were to happen after all... Those he cared about most would be the most affected.
"Because what happened on the island was complicated... and... hard to swallow I guess. Being reminded of something that could happen and just reminds me of a possibility is just not nice."

She leans against the wall, crossing her arms across her chest. That's odd. From what she had heard from Crowley, and from what she herself saw too in the end, all the visions they had gotten were memories. Did Allen instead see a potential future? How curious.
Still, it's obvious that it's affected him, and despite how she may act sometimes, Alice isn't a bad enough friend to disregard that sort of thing. So after a moment, she adds: "Do you want to talk about it? Perhaps it will help."

She couldn't help blinking a little when she noticed who was seated at the piano, a bit surprised.
"Allen?"
no subject
But he had gone to move and stand up when he paused instead.
"Hi... did you just come in?" He hadn't heard her, but then again... his mind and focus at the time had been on the piano.
no subject
"...sorry. I didn't mean to bother you or anything."

Soon he moved to get up from the piano, looking around slightly. "As much as this is a place for music just seemed like a good place to think for a moment."

But he was quiet for a moment before sighing, he figured he should at least say something. "Did you have anything happen on the world we were just on?"

His tone is light as Tidus speaks up, jesting, catching the soft notes in play and the melody they're managing to string together. His reasoning for entering the music car was limited to the first floor, but a curiosity led him to the second--plus, sometimes Yuna liked to come around up there, try out the instruments or mess around. And it was fun to catch her in the act, to goof off together.
But instead, surprise surprise who he should find instead. And Tidus doesn't mind stopping for a few minutes just to say hi, see how the guy is doing. It hasn't been long since they last saw each other, but a lot happened in that short time too.

He was at least quick to reply to that. It really, really was not a talent of any kind. Thanks implanted memories of a dead Noah.
"That one is...complicated."
no subject
And just end up playing some ol' tune? But Allen's attempt there couldn't be called luck.
no subject
"See. I can't read notes."
no subject
That it was complicated, but the joke or the opening he was going for fell flat.
"It has to be special one way or another."
no subject
"It's because of it that I kind of need to tell you something. As a friend. I feel like...because we are or at least I think we are that I should tell you this should it ever apply on the train."

"You're very talented, Allen-san." She speaks up lightly, "I forgot that you could play music."
no subject
Soon he turned his head over. "It's connected to a reminder I had recently on that island.... and it gave me a moment to think. So I need to let you in on something if you'll find a place to sit down."
no subject
"What's wrong, Allen-san?" She asked, "Were you caught in one of those caves too?"
no subject
"I was yes and...One of the memories that was shown to a complete strange reminded me that... Even of the situation hasn't happened doesn't meant that it won't ever. So I'm going to be telling you and those I am close to something. But promise that you won't say anything to anyone else, okay?"
no subject
“You can tell me whatever you need to, Allen-san. I’m here to support you.”
no subject
"How do I put this? Have you ever heard of being having memories implanted? Like memories that aren't there own?"
